This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.

Many of our regular family game nights involve challenging each other to bowling tournaments or a rousing match of Boom Blox or Mario Party on the Wii, and I was very intrigued when I heard that PlayStation was coming out with an interactive add-on for their gaming platform. So naturally, I was thrilled when PlayStation asked if I’d be interested in trying out the PlayStation Move.
First, what is the PlayStation Move? The PlayStation Move redefines motion gaming with the most immersive and realistic gaming experience only possible on the PlayStation 3 system. The simple, ergonomically designed, easy-to-use controller captures a full range of motion giving you ultimate control over how you play the game. With a diverse selection of games and new ones launching all the time, you can enjoy hours of fun with friends and family.
The PlayStation 3 console already had some big benefits over the Wii in my book, most notably a robust online platform with plenty of additional content to download and a built-in Blu-ray player. So being able to add-on an interactive gaming component for just $99, was a huge positive for me.
My family has definitely enjoyed playing the Move so far, with archery in the Sports Champions game being our favorite currently. We purchased an additional controller so that we could get the full range of motion, and the movement on the screen is very realistic, mimicking our movements almost perfectly. Shooting those arrows with two controllers really takes some practice!
We also purchased EyePet for our younger children, which is an interactive pet game that projects a “pet” right onto your living room floor. It’s almost a little scary just how realistic it is, but it’s pretty amazing to watch. The kids love being able to customize their own pet and interacting with it in a variety of roles. My four-year-old asks to play with “Mr. Po-Po” on a daily basis.
Overall I’d highly recommend this game system with one caveat. We found that the cord on the camera is far too short for our entertainment system. We have the PlayStation console in a lower cabinet, and there’s absolutely no way we can sit the camera on top of the TV at the proper height for gameplay when my husband and I are playing. Instead, we have to sit it on the ledge in front of the TV, which is mostly fine when the kids are playing, but it definitely affects the quality of gameplay for my husband and me.
Hopefully Sony will come up with a solution for this, because I think it’s going to be a common problem for many households with large entertainment centers or TVs.
I’d imagine that this is going to be a very hot commodity for the holiday season, especially the additional controllers. The stores that we talked with are only getting one, two, or at the most three, controllers at a time even right now, so they will be even more scarce as we approach Christmas. But one Deal Seeking Mom reader is going to win a PlayStation Move bundle pack!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a PlayStation Move Starter Bundle* that includes the following:

Great way to get up off the couch and move, plus great for the family to interact with a game together. Seems like the motion is even smoother than the Wii.

I’d love the Playstation Move. My husband has just recently become much more motivated to become super active with our son, bike riding, taking walks with the dogs, working out, etc. He’s trying to re-enlist back into the Army and trying to get in tip top shape, and he’d love another “get-moving” activity to do with our son! :D

How WOULDN’T I use the playstation move is a better question! I’d buy all the add-ons like the pet and another controller. My boyfriend and I have tested this out in Best Buy and LOVE it. It’s so interactive, fun and easy to figure out. Unlike regular video games, I picked it up easily and it got me moving! I would love to have one readily available in my home for me to play on whenever possible.

I would use the PlayStation Move as a way to play video games with my husband. (And our daughter when she gets a little older!) I don’t like to just sit and use a controller, but I think I would really enjoy this and it would provide some great bonding time!
