It’s quite easy to pick out what my biggest challenge in keeping a neat and tidy office is — paper clutter, and lots of it. From five kids’ worth of tests, artwork and calendar reminders to business contracts and receipts and business cards from the last three blogging conferences I’ve attend, you’ll find quite a variety. And that’s not even touching on one of the biggest culprits — my tear file of recipes, decorating ideas, and other articles from all of my favorite magazines.

I have to say that I was rather skeptical about whether one paper management system could tackle such a myriad of clutter, but the NeatDesk system managed to do it all! The NeatDesk scanner and NeatWorks software make scanning and organizing my paper clutter super simple by eliminating most of the data entry and creating searchable PDF files. It’s really nothing short of amazing, and while I still have a ways to go in completely decluttering my office, I’m confident that this system is THE ONE I’ve been searching for for so long.

In fact, the only drawback I’ve found is that the NeatDesk is a bit pricey at $399.99. They do offer the NeatReceipts product at a smaller price point of $199.99. You still get the awesome NeatWorks software, but the scanner is somewhat less sophisticated. I’d whole-heartedly recommend these products to parents though, as I’m sure we can all use a little extra assistance in the paper clutter department.

    Gotta have it! Four kids, and we are drowning in school papers. This will help tremendously with cutting out paper clutter.

    being stuck in bed, spinal tumors and now busted foot, I have to do all my biz and office work from the bed. NOT fun! I have literally piles of papers all over bedroom and that is not condusive to healthy sleep patterns. Having the neat system would be an incredible blessing!.. being able to copy things, scan things into a system would cut down on paperwork AND frustration for me…helping me, hopefully, to be more proficient in whatever I do.

    I would park that right on the desk near the front door and try to go through the papers each night to keep them from piling up.

    Wow, having a NeatDesk would be so awesome for me! I not only have lots of old income tax documents and bills that I could scan and get rid of, but I am in law school as well, and I have a TON of papers that would be much easier to use and neater to organize! I live in a small apartment so having a massive quantity of paper clutter is not a good idea lol!

    We recently had a house fire. I lost everything and while rebuilding I have PILES of papers and receipts and bids and such that are overwhelming. I would use this neat to get me back on track and on top of the paperwork that piled up. Also would be great to not worry about losing the info if something were to happen again.
