Starring Jim Carey, Carla Gugino and Angela Lansbury, this lighthearted tale of a driven businessman, Mr. Popper (played by Jim Carrey), who inherits 6 penguins. His life is turned topsy-turvey as the penguins invade his condo and turn it into their winter wonderland playground and start getting him to ques what’s really important and what really matters in life. This charming movie based on the classic book is one that will be fun for the whole family.

    My own daughter is only 20 months, and we’ve not taken her to a theater yet. I can’t actually remember the last time I went to a movie with a child – it’s probably been close to 10 years or so, as a babysitter. Hmm, that’s a little depressing, actually. Movies with kids can be fun….

    I think the last movie we saw in the theater with the kids was Toy Story 3. Mr. Popper’s Penguins is on my daughter’s summer reading list!
