    I was very interested in space and space exploration as a kid. I always wanted to be an astronaut and even went to Space Camp a couple of times. My interest directly led to my getting a degree in aerospace engineering and my job designing airplanes. I even went back to Space Camp for the adult program a few yeras ago.

    I really couldn’t have cared less until one summer on Nantucket Island. I have never seen the Milkey way the way I did that night. It left me speechless.

    I was never obsessed with star gazing, but I think that was because I could never find the dippers! My son is much better at finding stars than me!

    Yes, I loved stuff like that as a kid. When my dad bought me a telescope I was the happiest little girl :)
