Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!
If you were ever obsessed with the bright lights that fill the night sky as a child, then you’ll know the magic that it contains for young minds. Foster that interest in your own child by opening up the universe to them and letting them explore the stars and the planets that are out there beyond Earth. Scholastic has a fantastic interactive activity book, Klutz Guide to the Galaxy, that does just that.
About the Book: Explore the universe without leaving the comfort of your backyard. When the scientists at Klutz Labs tackle outer space, they not only ask questions like “Where’s the Big Dipper” but also “If I lived on planet Mercury, am I already old enough to drive?” Use the included telescope, red light for night use, sundial, and astrolab to start exploring our great galaxy.
Three Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Klutz Guide To The Galaxy Prize Pack that includes:
- The Klutz Guide to the Galaxy
- Backyard Stars
- Backyard Stars
- Invasion of the Bristlebots
- The Solar Car Book

I loved looking at the stars as a kiddo! I went to an elementary school that had a planetarium inside of it and when we would go, it was a favorite thing to do at school.

I wasn’t into space until high school and took an astronomy class, then took another in college. I am sure the book is awesome!
Ger
I wasn’t obsessed, but did look at the stars and wondered.
Jennifer
I was always interested but not obsessed. I could rarely find any specific constellation but was pretty excited when I did.

I once got my cousin to sit out on the deck with sunglasses on for a few hours because I thought the reduced glare would make it easy for us to see the colors of the planets. Turns out, adults don’t give five year olds polarized glasses, but our devotion spoke columes about how much we loved the stars.
