Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I always try to sneak a cup of coffee before the kiddos wake up. Helps me prepare for the chaos that is to come! LOL!

I listen to the radio for about 20 minutes to start that focus on something outside my own head. A cup of coffee jumpstarts those mornings that I probably needed 30 minutes of radio time! ;)

I have a 4 year old who goes to preschool and a 2 year old and 6 week old that stay home with me… And my husband is a teacher. The night before, I lay out my 4 year old’s clothes, program the coffee pot, and get the cereal boxes out. I set an alarm, but sadly the 6 week old gets up to eat about 45 minutes before the rest of the house gets up. Let’s just say, husband and I are really liking caffeine right now – it’d be awesome to send this to his classroom so he can get a refill mid-day like I can at home.

To help with our morning, we don’t turn the tv on. It has helped wonders! Plus, my cup of coffee.

MANDATORY ENTRY: The best way I handle a hectic morning is make sure to wake up at my normal time, 120 minutes before I need to be somewhere. I work on getting my daughter up the minute I start preparing myself for the day. After I’m prepped and ready to hit the day, I go into my daughter’s room and get her up. We head downstairs, I get her feed, then brush the teeth and comb and style her hair. The last thing we do is get her dressed in her school uniform and make sure her backpack contains everything she will need for that day at school. I usually shower the night before and also pack my daughter’s lunch the night before so I don’t have to tackle these chores in the morning. I must stick to this routine so I don’t get stuck in a hectic morning, you know? While my daughter is eating breakfast I usually get my cup of coffee ready. Once it’s done, I ‘GULP’ it down while doing my daughter’s hair. After my first cup…I’m functioning at 99%. I don’t acquire that last 10% until we are heading out the door and I know my daughter will be at school in 30 minutes and I get to come back home and read all my favorite blogs for the day! All this with ‘NO HECTIC’ makes for a very good day, to say the least!

In the mornings, I listen to NPR or the morning news on TV to catch up on the day’s events while drinking coffee and eating a light breakfast.

Three little boys = a requirement for mommy to be caffeinated in the morning. They are amazing little guys, but full of energy and ready to go bright and early. I have been hoping to try this coffee pot some day. Would be great to win it!!
