Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I always set up my coffeemaker and pack my lunch the night before, that way I’m not scrambling in the morning!

To manage a hectic morning, our family makes sure that everything is ready the night before. Homework is done and put away in school bags, lunches are made, breakfast prep is done (i.e. sliced or washed fruit for cereal, orange juice is made) I love a morning cup of coffee because once the kids and I hop in the car and head to school, and then work, I can relax, sip and enjoy an otherwise long ride.:)

To keep mornings less hectic, I try to have everything ready to go, including lunch packed and clothes picked out and ready. I also have a quick breakfast and follow the same routine each morning which cuts down on time wasted.

I planed my morning ahead, put the clothes that I’m ready to wear in the bathroom, so after I take a shower, I’m ready to go to the kitchen. In the kitchen, I put coffee cup beside the coffee machine and put the coffee(powder cup) in the machine. Just click the button and ready to go. Mine is wearing out, I need a new one to use. That would be great Christmas present too. I love that coffee machine and their coffee.

My tip and trick is to have a routine and stick with it. Of course, when things get off schedule you just wing it and try not to stress. I do not have a coffee maker and often visit the Keurig machine at Nana & Papa’s house to get a jolt of warmth and energy. Thanks for the opportunity.

I always try to get as much as I can done the night before.. and then get up a few minutes earlier than everyone else so I can sit and enjoy that first cup of coffee before the hectic morning starts. Those few minutes to myself (well.. the furry kids join me too.. haha) always get my day started off right!

Set the auto timer to turn the coffee pot on and have things sitting out ready the night before. Then brew a second smaller cup with the same Kcup to help save.

Laying out my clothes and my children’s clothes the night before really helps a lot. I also make sure my purse and backpacks are laid out ready to go. SHoes are always in the same spot so we are not scrounging for them in the morning. Aaaaaahhhh sweet coffee. Nectar of the gods. =)

For hectic mornings, I like to make breakfast the night before. Usually muffins or pigs in a blanket are the kids pick. Clothes are laid out the night before along with school bags. have to have my coffee on the way out of the door. I would love to have the Keurig coffee maker. I feel like I waste a lot of coffee with only drinking 1 cup. That system would be perfect for my family. The kids would love it for the hot chocolate and hot teas.
I also entered on the Keurig facebook page.
