Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I make sure to have teh coffeemaker set up so that all I have to do in the morning is turn it on. My cup of coffee is my “mine” thing in the morning. The warmth and the caffine are a great start.

We get as much ready as possible the night before, that way our mornings are smooth and I have time to enjoy my cup(s) of coffee.

In the morning, I get up an extra 10 minutes early. During that 10 minutes, I sip on coffee and enjoy my drink and the quiet darkness. A little bit of calm before the morning storm! :)

To help cope with busy mornings I always lay out my 4 year old’s clothes the night before. She likes to dress herself so that saves me from having to re-dress her if she gets up before me and puts on a sundress she picks out herself…in the 60 degree weather! LOL

I need a warm cup of coffee every morning to start the day, I like to wake up an hour before the kids to read the paper check emails and enjoy my coffee. I like a variety of coffee creamer flavors the vanilla being my usual, but I always try whatever new seasonal one there is. I also get everybody’s items ready by the door the night before like backpacks,,jackets, keys, and prepare the lunch’s too.So we can all have a hectic free morning, well almost hectic free :)

My best tip is to have all the meals ready to go. Lunches already packed and coffee set to brew. I cant start my day without a cup.

Morning tip: Shower and style hair the night before, that way you only need touch-ups the next morning.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
