Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

Nothing even starts my morning except a few cups of fresh brewed French Roast or something even stronger!!! I didn’t even like coffee–detested it really– until 3 years ago. A family friend asked me if I wanted some and I replied “no, I hate the stuff”. He said, “You’ve never tasted mine!” He filled a cup with French Roast, Irish Creme creamer, and whipped cream and I’ve been hooked ever since!

I always start my morning with yoga to relax and stretch and then reward myself with a cup of coffee. That, and if I didn’t have it, I don’t want to think of the migraine it would give me. Haha.

Tips for mornings? Stay calm :) I realize my youngest (who’s 20 months) doesn’t have to be ‘dressed for the day’ when we drop off his sister at school so sometimes he’s in pjs. For my oldest I keep reminding her of the time left before we must leave (10 min, 5 min, 2 min etc). Also, I make sure the kiddos have eaten- that’s super important too :)

The biggest help to me in managing mornings is to make sure all is ready the night before. Sitting down to a cup of coffee after the rush gets me settle for the rest of the day (and it’s when I get my e-mail read!)

To deal with a hectic morning I usually prioritize and push some of the to do list to the end of the day or go without for the day. A cup of gourmet coffee is the relaxing part of the day where I can get a few minutes to myself. That is if I remember that I poured myself a cup!
