Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I am a new mom, have a 2 month old baby so my morning is very hectic, it consist of pumping milk, getting bottles ready, getting baby girls clothes laid out, diapers stocked and everything ready for dad. He stays home while I work as a preschool teacher during the day then goes to work when I get home. My tip is..get your husband to make coffee for you! He gets up right before I leave for work to make me a fresh cup for my drive! He’s such a sweetie!

It’s not what I do to make my morning easier, it’s what my husband does to make it easier. He makes the coffee and gives the kids their morning sippy before he leaves for work.

The night before we get as much done as possible. As far as the coffee, I get the coffee cup out, the sweet n low, and put the coffee in the maker. Only thing left to do in the morning is actually make the coffee.

I try to prepare the night before so that in a morning I have scaled the amount of chaos in the morning. I always make sure I have 10 minutes of “me time” for a cup of coffee goodness, and a bit of scripture. I know that sounds fanatical, but spending a bit of time with my Savior in the morning keeps me grounded.

I like to get clothes ready the night before and taking time to make it at home would save a stop (and $$) to buy a coffee drink.

If I work out first thing in the morning, my mind is just calmer and able to handle the hectic part better….and a lil cup o’ joe sure doesn’t hurt, for a caffeine jolt!

I pack their lunch the night before, lay out their clothes and of course program the coffee maker.

I always pick out my clothes for the morning the night before. Makes things much easier for me. I also set up the coffee maker to turn on, so I don’t have to worry about that.

I am not much of a coffee drinker, but my mother LOVES her Keurig! She really wanted the single-cup coffee maker, but my father bought her the bigger one. I would love to give her the maker for her own use or to take when she travels! That would be one of the very best gifts EVER!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
