Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I have been wanting one of these for a long time! I love the idea of making a cup as soon as I get up instead of waiting forever with my current system.

I do most of my morning prep at night time (getting mugs & bowls laid out, lunches made, etc) so that in the morning, I can just get up and go! I am typically a tea drinker, but I do love a good cup of coffee whenever I can :)

My tips n tricks to not having a hectic morning is timing. Having the kids get their clothes and snacks ready the day before saves a lot of time. If you plan ahead it saves you a lot of headache. I’m a coffee addict, my morning coffee is my time to whine and be ready to start my day. A gourmet cup of coffee in the morning is a great way to start of the day.

Well, before I get the kids up, I make myself a pot of coffee. I then get the kids up and help get their things ready. After they are off to school, I sit and relax on the couch and watch the world go by…

To manage hectic mornings I lay out and iron my clothes the night before. A good cup of coffee always helps as well.

First I get my coffee maker all ready to go the night before so all I have to do is hit a button before I hop in the shower. We lay ‘school outfits’ out the night before. We have all backpacks packed up and by the door and I usually at least have an idea as to what I will make for breakfast. We switched to all showers and baths at night……and my morning coffee gets me going and gives me much needed energy. The smell alone is a great little ‘pick me up’ upon stepping out of the shower!

I love a great cup of coffee in the morning, it gets me up and going, and I can’t get through a morning without one! My tip for making it through a morning is to start it off with a cup of coffee before the kiddos get out of bed so you can drink it in quiet and solitude! :)
