Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

To enter, tell me your best “tips and tricks” to manage a hectic morning are and how a fresh gourmet cup of coffee helps you get your mornings started.

I have two toddlers, 2&4 I struggle to get out the door every AM. One goes to a daycare a few days a week and the other to Pre-K, different locations. I find that trying to get myself ready and them is a joke….So I get up earlier to get myself ready firtst, then them. I try and use the clock as a reminder, to them, the clock says 8:00am it’s time to get dressed or finish eating. If we are running late I will pack cearal in the snack size plastic baggies and fill a sippy cup with milk. They can eat on the way. Getting them dressed has become easier since I make it a race, who’s going to get dressed fastest??? My 4yr old. runs with this while I get the 2yr. old ready. These are a few of the things I’ve come up with since September.
As for coffee, I used to brew a pot every AM for my husband & I. If he remembered he would grap a cup, but that was 50/50. As for me I would drink some of it, but struggled as I find myself busy being mommy. But most discouraging of all, I was never satisified with the coffee it made. I love Tim Horton’s coffee and even bought the grounds to brew at home…what a waste of money. Either I seriously don’t know how to make a good cup of coffee or my maker sucks(I’m thinking the later…lol). So I just gave my coffee maker away and now I hit Tim’s in the AM for my cup of Java. But the expense doesn’t make the most since since I strive to use coupons and save money via this website and a coupon club I belong to.
I just say this on QVC last night and was very tempted to try it out, but was afraid my husband would kill me….lol We live on one income as I am in the process of starting a business in MI. God help me! :) I could use some good luck.
Thanks for reading and considering my post.

My mornings are definitely hectic getting my four kids ready and off to school as well as getting myself ready for work! I try my best to have the kids lay out their clothes the night before so dressing is a snap. If I can, I pack lunches before bed as well. And I cannot function with all of this chaos without my morning cup of gourmet coffee! It’s my life line!

I try to get as much ready in the evening as I can. That includes clothes, coffee, diapers, breakfast, clean dishes, etc. That helps me wake up and not feel so frazzled. I also try to wake up before my children…that however, is a work in progress!

Hi, I love your blog. Our mornings are crazy here with two kids in school this year. I try to manage to get everything done the night before so it all falls into place that morning. My hubby really deserves this coffee pot because he works full time and late hours so that I could stay at home with the kids. I love my job….it would be awesome to win this for him and give it to him at Christmas time. Thank you for having these contest for us!!!

My tip is to use my Keurig as it makes the coffee so quick, and easy clean up, gets my day going fast. I also try to prepare as much as possible the night before so the morning goes smoothly. I love it.
