Between camps, vacations and warm weather activities, summer is a busy time of the year for many families.     We hit the road to Rockport, Texas with two kids, two dogs & and grandma in tow!! We had all had so much fun-memories were definatley made this summer!!

    It has been a while since we have been on a family road trip and we are overdue for a fantastic journey. We would like to go hiking in the mountains of Maine& do some fishing and boating as well.

    The last road trip I went on was with my mother to Michigan (we go every year). The trip should take about 6 and a half hours, but we usually stop 4 or 5 times, which makes it interesting!

    I can’t remember the last road trip I went on! It must have been at least 10 years ago, when I still lived with my parents. My girlfriends and I are planning a couple’s trip with our significant others soon…hopefully before winter comes!

    We drove from Iowa to Florida to spend a week at Disney. Two days in the car there and two days back was enough road trip for the rest of the year!

    Our last road trip was to Santa Cruz, CA. the ” are we almost there” didn’t start until about 30 minutes into our 2.5 hour drive. I had granola bars and fruit in the car, jif to go would have been GREAT! Weather was nice, we played ” eye spy” and the alphabet game. You start with A and find something that starts with the letter A then move onto B etc. Arrived in Santa Cruz about 1130 am and left at 10 pm for the return drive home. LONG day to say the least but well worth the deep fried twinkies! haha
