Win-It Wednesday: Jif To Go Travel Pack (2 Winners!)

August 3, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Between camps, vacations and warm weather activities, summer is a busy time of the year for many families. We’ve gone from 4 of our 5 kids playing baseball on three different teams to an impromptu Myrtle Beach vacation last week right into every night football practice, so we know a thing or two about being on the go!

Luckily this Jif To Go Travel Pack arrived the day before we left for vacation. Let me tell you, it was a lifesaver! Our factory GPS system quit working a few weeks ago, so the Garmin was a total blessing.

But the real hit was the Jif To Go Peanut Butter. They were just what my kids needed when they got the munchies in between stops, and I love that you can use them so many ways — pretzels, celery, apple slices. All delicious choices!

Two lucky Deal Seeking Mom winners will receive a Jif To Go Travel Pack that includes:

  • Jif To Go Creamy Peanut Butter 3-pack (1.5 oz. cups)
  • Jif To Go Creamy Peanut Butter 8-pack (1.5 oz. cups)
  • Tote Bag
  • Garmin GPS System
  • $50 gift card to AutoZone
  • Jif Travel Mug
  • Travel Scrabble
  • Mini bags of pretzels

To enter, tell me what the last road trip you went on was.

My last road trip was from Kansas City to Bloomington, IN to visit some friends. It was only 8 hours though. My last really long road trip was Bloomington, IN to Daytona Beach, FL for spring break last year! We had a caravan of 3 cars, my car had 5 people in it. We drove for 17 hours straight, breaking only for bathroom stops. It was crazy.

We went to Ohio to enjoy a day with the parents. They set up at a Farmer’s market so I took all my canning goodies and sold them at their market. Was great to just spend a day with my parents and enjoy the simple life. We do alot of traveling tho and I sure could use a GPS. LOL

Our last trip was over 4th of July. We we to Pittsburgh to visit my MOM, well stepmom or my dad’s second ex-wife. We love her and have for 25yrs so she is still and always will be mom. My husband just got back from Afghanistan and we took our 4 kids to grandmas house. We put in a new sliding glass door to help her with energy costs since my Dad never fixed the door when he was there. I noticed a smell under her sink the night before we left and she had a leak. Her pipe to the garbage disposal wasn’t even connected. Lowes gave us the military discount for a new faucet and we fixed it all before she came home for lunch to see us off. The kids all watch movies and eat DRY snacks when we travel. I also love the color wonder markers and different books for each so they can trade out when they get bored. We always change the diaper during any pitstop even if its just a little wet. A 10hr drive has at least 4 pit stops. lol

Our last road trip was two weeks ago – 15 long hours to Rochester NY. The kids are older so not as bad to travel with, but snacks are a MUST on this long of a trip. That is all they do is eat and drink – thus many stops along the way to use the bathroom too.

    I follow you on FB!

It’s been quite a while since we took a road trip, but the last one we really took was back in 2009. We drove from Modesto, CA to Romoland, CA down by LA. It was the longest and worst road trip we had ever gone on. I thought we would never get there, and it was just freeway change after freeway change. When finally got to town, it was so dark, we couldn’t even find the street to get to out hotel, and there were no light to help navigate us. Finally we arrived 8.5 hours after we had left. I was newly pregant, only about 8 weeks or so, so that made it even more fun!

My mom and I just drove from Ohio to Iowa last month. While portable food isn’t always the healthiest and cheapest to buy it is priceless when it comes to travel with little ones!! Love things like JIF to go. Throw a few celery sticks in the cooler and perfect car snack

We drove 7 hours to Idaho for the Fourth of July. Watched the parade and fireworks in Coeur d’Alene and played daily on the beach. The water was COLD but we still had a great time! The kids did pretty good in the car, it always helps to pack great things to keep them occupied!

The last road trip we went on was last year, Grandma, Grandpa, our 3 kids (at the time were 6,3,and 9 mo. old) and us. We all piled in a mini van so the kids could go meet their Uncle who lives 4 hours away, Since he’s autistic and doesn’t travel well, so he can’t come down here to visit, and it’s a good thing we packed lots of snacks, because with all the bathroom breaks, and leg streches, our 4 hour trip ended up taking 8, but it’s was fun, we had lots of great family time, and the kids loved meeting their uncle. It was definetely an adventure, one we plan on doing again very soon!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
