Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Have you ever wondered if you remembered to close the garage door? Or have you ever worried about the safety of your garage door? If so, then the Genie SilentMax 1000 garage door opener and its many new safety features will offer you peace of mind.
Not only does the SilentMax 1000 provide intelligent design for the homeowner that wants quiet performance with superior design and conveniences, it also offers some pretty amazing safety features like a comprehensive Safe-T-Beam system that meets or exceeds CSA regulations, an auto reversing system that prevents it from closing if something is in the way, and a superior encryption system that automatically changes the access code every time you use it to prevent unauthorized persons from opening your garage door.
The Genie SilentMax 1000 is so simple to install that my husband was able to put it up without assistance in about an hour. I have to say it definitely lives up to its name — it’s the quietest garage door opener I’ve ever heard (or not heard in this case). I was in the house and had no idea he was already testing it out!

I love the keypad entry system because it means I don’t have to carry bulky keys with me when I go for a walk or to the park, and it’s also great for those rare occasions when the kids beat me home from school. They just punch in our PIN number, and can let themselves into the house.

One of my favorite features is the optional Network Adapter. It’s easy to get distracted when pulling out of the driveway with a carload of kids, so this handy little feature tells me at a glance whether or not I’ve remembered to shut the garage door. The Network Adapter remote will beep and flash green when closed properly or give a warning tone and flash read when not closed properly.
Today, one lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will win a Genie Silent Max 1000 Garage Door Opener prize pack that includes:
- One SilentMax 1000 Garage Door Opener
- Closed Confirm 3-button Remote and Network Adapter Combo

Our automatic garage door recently broke, so we have to switch to the manual way of opening it. I worry that someone will forget to lock it! My garage is attached to the house so that would be an easy way for a thief to enter my home

We never had a garage door opener but would love to have one after living at our new home for 5 yrs! My biggest safety concern would be it malfunctioning in some way and pining one of my precious 6 children under it!

I have a 4 and 6 year old and a 37 year old garage door opener. We have been in our house 10 years and back then they did not have the safety features they have today. IF YOU PUSH THE BUTTON IT WILL CLOSE, regardless if there is something in the way or not. I just always pray it isn’t one of my children or neighbor kids

I want a garage opener.. Remembering the code to my inlaws

The garage door closing on someone or a spring busting off the mechanism. I’ve heard there is a lot of pressure on the springs and they can cause damage if they come flying off.

My biggest safety concern is that the door comes down on something without stopping when it hits an item (or worse yet the kids).

My biggest concern is locking ourselves out of the garage. We do not currently have a keypad. This would be great!
Barbie
My biggest safety concern is due to ours being an older model. In winter it freezes and we have had our snowblower and lawn mower stolen because we could not get it closed. We hope it does not happen again this year!

My biggest concern is they (the kids mainly) will not get the door up all the way and it will come down on one of them. I know they are old enough to know better, but, Hey I am a mom- and MOMS WORRY!
Lisa
My biggest concern is that my garage door sometimes comes down when I’m going in and out of the garage.
