I have repeated family “christmases,” the office Christmas party, a cookie exchange, a Christmas Eve candlelight service at church, and a two night stay in a 7 bedroom house with 5 of my closest friends from college (and our husbands and kids, a total of 21 people…in one house…on New Year’s Eve…last year it was my house).

Our holiday plans have gone a bit off path -my partner’s parents were supposed to be coming in from Kansas but my FIL is having some health issues and is ‘grounded’ for the time being.
This year we will be joining our good friends in one of their traditions – they have waffle sundaes on christmas eve together (kinda like a house warming / christmas get together / make sundaes with the kids) sorta thing!
