I have a coin jar (piggy bank) and i count my change every 6-12 months. When I redeem it for cash, I buy my necessities at the store such as toothpaste, light bulbs, papertowels, etc.

We have a coin jar on the floor next to my husband’s side of the bed. We rarely count the coins in there. Probably should sometime soon. :)

I keep a change jar to try to save for vacations. About 10 years ago my husband and I saved change for about 5 years and had enough to go on a mini vacation!

We have a coin jar—not used very much; only has a few inches in it & last time that was about $20. All the extra change we have now is used for allowances or incentives for our kids.

Keep a GIANT coin jar, we usually empty it and then I stash it in an interest bearing savings account with ING. Works out good, and every little bit counts towards college or retirement!

I keep an electronic coin jar, but the kids take the lid off so often that it’s not accurate! :)

I have coin cannisters for each of my sons. We save it for about 4 to 6 months, then we count! Last year, we brought those jars on vacation to Las Vegas, and they had their spending money!

I have a lavendar piggie bank named Apple that I collect my coins in… my initial reason for feeding the pig was to save for an iPad, but I ended up using the $ for Christmas gifts instead.

We use this hilarious coin “parking meter” that my husband has had since he was little. The money is reserved for our second honeymoon.
