Win-It Wednesday: 4 GB X2S Eye-Fi Card!

April 13, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Eye-Fi for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Our family recently added a 4GB X2S Eye-Fi SDHC memory card to our digital storage lineup. What’s the big deal? Eye-Fi cards have a tiny wireless adapter built into them which allows you to download pictures to your home Wi-Fi network. That’s right. You never have to take the card out of the camera. No more using separate card readers, losing your card or searching for the proprietary USB cord that came with the camera.

Setup was easy: I just plugged in the USB adapter that was included and followed the prompts. It quickly discovered my home network and even jumped through my security hoops flawlessly. You do need to have your camera nearby to send a test photo to complete the setup, and from then on, it works without wires. Now I can transfer my latest pictures and video to my network without the fear of one of the kids running off with the card while it’s on the desk or having it get lost under a pile of papers, and my photos are automatically organized into photos according to the date they’re taken.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will receive a 4GB X2S Eye-Fi Card!

To enter, tell me why you would want a wireless SD card.

I need one of these cards because my computer is so old that I can’t connect a camera cable to it because they don’t work anymore. it does still have wireless on it that works. believe it or not my computer is a lap top found in a dumpster by my son who put linux on it and the screen is held together by duct tape and ribbon. I can’t afford a new one, or one of these cards, my aunt gave me a camera that will use one of these cards but i don’t have the card. i would appreciate it, but if you pick someone else i will understand. thank you

It would be so much easier not having to keep track of the cords, and to be able to d/l to any computer on the network quickly without having to connect the camara/card physically.

I dumped cable and now only watch downloaded shows. I have a homebrew app on my Wii that lets my watch .avi’s on an sd card. It would be cool to be able up load shows straight to the wii.

I’d love a wireless SD card because my laptop doesn’t accept all kinds of memory cards. It’s hard to keep track of the wires that belong to our cameras.

I couldn’t take pictures at my grandson’s birthday party because I didn’t know I had to move the little slot on the card before returning it to the camera. I had just taken it to have multiple photos made from a family reunion, and then missed out on another important event in our family. I need something simple and efficient & the Eye-fi fits the bill perfectly.

I’d love a wireless SD card because it would simplify the process of getting pictures off my camera and onto my computer. No more trying to find the cord for the camera or the SD card reader. Thanks for the chance to win!
