Our family recently added a 4GB X2S Eye-Fi SDHC memory card to our digital storage lineup. What’s the big deal? Eye-Fi cards have a tiny wireless adapter built into them which allows you to download pictures to your home Wi-Fi network. That’s right. You never have to take the card out of the camera. No more using separate card readers, losing your card or searching for the proprietary USB cord that came with the camera.

Setup was easy: I just plugged in the USB adapter that was included and followed the prompts. It quickly discovered my home network and even jumped through my security hoops flawlessly. You do need to have your camera nearby to send a test photo to complete the setup, and from then on, it works without wires. Now I can transfer my latest pictures and video to my network without the fear of one of the kids running off with the card while it’s on the desk or having it get lost under a pile of papers, and my photos are automatically organized into photos according to the date they’re taken.

    I was just thinking the other day how much I need one of these. My parents live pretty far away so they are always wanting pics of the kids sent, like yesterday. Unfortunately, we no longer have patience to wait for the upload to computer by plugging it in via usb! This would be so much easier just to click and send straight to computer using no wires.

    I didn’t know these existed! I want one because i’ve needed to take a quick pic before and realized that my card from the camera was still in the computer. It would be great to just leave it in the camera!

    I’d love the card to make working with my digital photos easier and faster. I can easily shoot 150 to200 photos on a interesting subject but hate the wait time to download to PC before culling out the non keepers. This card would give me more time to take pictures.

    I would love one because i am MSC (media-storage-challenged), and whenever I want to take a picture my card is full, and I forgot to download it, or I’ve downloaded, but forgot to erase the card, or etc. so then i’m quickly going through my pictures when I’m losing my Kodak Moment. I LOVE taking pictures of my boys, and this would make it more of no-brainer for me :-)

    I would love to have a bigger and wireless sd crad for all the pictures I take on a daily basis. It would be so much easier to upload them.
