Win-It Wednesday: $250 Visa Gift Card from HouseLogic!

December 15, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 1,357 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

The holidays are officially here, and whether you’re getting ready for a holiday party with friends or prepping for a grand family event, there’s always lots to do around the house, especially if there are any pesky house projects lurking. Whether it’s repairing a hole in the wall from a door handle, sealing up the house for the winter or doing some home improvements, HouseLogic has the tools to help you succeed.

Recently, HouseLogic wrote a featured article on the series I did with Mandi of Life… Your Way on Preparing Your Home for the Holidays. If you missed the series, Mandi had some great tips on how to keep your house from getting out of control and to help manage the large stuff so that holiday cleaning and decorating doesn’t feel as overwhelming. They are tips that can be implemented at any time, and they really do help keep you a bit more sane in this insane season.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a $250 Visa gift card from HouseLogic!

To enter, tell me one home project you have on the horizon that HouseLogic could help you with.

We could use some hope winterizing! My son’s room is over the garage and gets so cold in the winter.

Currently in a rental (which need WAY more than $250 in help – HA) – but I do have a funky armoire I will be painting (faux finish, glaze, or ???) and some antique pieces which could use some serious refinishing love!

Our house built in the 1800’s and believe me it constantly has projects! We need to desperately remodel the back bedroom that has a major leaking ceiling.

We need to landscape our back yard, so this would help out with that quite a bit.

Oh my goodness we have no shelving in this house. I bought a few shelves from Ikea that attach individually to the wall (I’m sure there’s a real name for these that is escaping me!) but we need something bigger or more book-case-y to put up family pictures, little trinkets from our travels, and things like that. That is what I need help with!

I would really like to turn my garage into a usable “extra room” space – even if just for crafting/project doing. It seems like such a wasted space since we don’t park in there, but its always piled up with stuff! Some organization ideas as well as ideas for furniture seem like things I could find on HouseLogic.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
