Win-It Wednesday: $250 Bealls Florida Gift Card!

August 10, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski 284 Comments

This post brought to you by Bealls. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s back-to-school season. The number of days left spent poolside are numbered. The sun is slowly losing it’s heat, and the stores are stocking shelves full of pencils, colorful notebooks and folders and crayons as far as the eye can see. In addition to supplies, the kids have likely been growing over the summer. Pants that once fit well now look as though a flood is headed their way. Shoes that graced their feet just two short months ago have become tight and uncomfortable after a summer’s worth of sandals and sun.

Inevitably, a trip to the store is in order. As we head to the store to stock up for the kids we generally focus on essentials: t-shirts, socks, jeans and other items that can be layered once it gets colder. Start by for deals in the sale and clearance sections on summer items, searching for t-shirts and shorts that can be paired with long-sleeve undershirts and worn for the first two months of school. Once the weather truly starts to turn cold, the back-to-school items will all be on clearance to make room for holiday wear, and you can jump on those sales.

Back-2-School at Bealls has all you need for the back-to-school season, from uniforms to trendy styles for boys and girls. You’ll have all your back-to-school shopping done in no time.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will receive a $250 gift card to Bealls Florida (can be used online too)!

To enter, tell me how you would spend $250 on back-to-school shopping at Bealls.

I would use it for back to school clothes for my 2nd grader, preschooler, and toddler. We just moved to Texas and they will NEED more clothes for this climate change! And of course they are growing like weeds and need bigger clothes again!

Both of my kids need new socks and underwear in addition to pants, tops and shoes. Jackets to keep them warm in our harsh Wisconsin winter are in order too. Ah, and graphing calculators are needed for the upcoming semesters.

I would buy back to school clothes for myself. I’m starting a teaching internship and need more professional clothing for work.

I just moved to Florida, but almost none of my clothes made the move with me. I’d spend the money on setting up a real wardrobe since we are uncertain when the rest of our belongings will make it south.

Shoes and clothes for my two girlies – 7th and 8th grade – my husband was out of work until late June – so we are still trying to catch up which means no new clothes for school.

We have six children that are in need of shoes, pants, dress shirts, and a mama and daddy that need some under clothes.
We’ve never been able to do any sort of shopping spree so this would be a blessing.

I could outfit myself, my son and my daughter for our school year with $250 (plus sorting through the hand-me-downs our generous friends pass along!).

I have a 4 year old boy and a 2 year old girl, so we don’t have to do “back to school” shopping, but the 2 year old just went through a growth spurt and is now into 3T clothes, fortunately I had some in the closet (planned for next spring, closer to when she turns 3). Looks like I’ll be needing winter 3T clothes for her though. My 4 year old is okay on clothes for now, but it’s been a while since he hit a growth spurt, so I’m expecting it any day now. :)

Buying only from clearance and sale racks, $250 would allow us to purchase at least: 6 jeans/khakis $80, 2 pairs shoes $50, 10 socks $20, and 10 uniform shirts $100. I only have 1 kid (9yo) so we would keep half of these items and give the other half to a needy kid at my son’s school. Hopefully we could include 2 backpacks also.

Who couldn’t use a Beall’s $250 gift card. It costs so much to outfit kids for school these days that my kids really appreciate when Grandma helps out. That could buy a lot of school clothes!
