Win A Windows Nextbook Flexx 11 Tablet + Keyboard Valued at $227!

July 8, 2015 by Tara Kuczykowski 73 Comments

Sooooo, in just five short weeks my kids will be heading back to school. We’ve had kind of a bummer of a summer so far — LOTS of wet, rainy weather and unusually low temperatures, so I cringe just thinking about it… I mean, we’ve only made it to the pool once so far, and I’m absolutely NOT ready for the mad dash to purchase clothes, supplies, etc. But I’ve resigned myself to the inevitability of it all.

The one bright spot is that E FUN recently asked me to try out one of their new Windows 2-in-1 tablets, which means a shiny new toy for my kids to argue over play with while waiting for the rain shower of the moment to pass us by.

For under $230, the Nextbook Flexx 11 allows my entire family to stay connected, entertained, and productive with everything they want at their fingertips. They can browse the Internet, reply to emails, read books, play games from the Windows Store, watch movies, video chat, and much more, with the option to switch from a touchscreen laptop design to a standard tablet interface at the push of a button.

My kids are all about looks, so of course they went gaga over the fun backlit LED keyboard. However, I’m a little more practical, so I appreciate that the Nextbook Flexx 11 is a step up from the Nextbook 10.1 we tested back in January in almost every way — for a very little increase in price! The Nextbook Flexx 11 boasts a larger screen, faster process, and both more system and storage memory at the everyday low price of $227.

The Nextbook Flexx 11 Tablet features include:

  • Windows 8.1 operating system (upgradable to Windows 10 later this year)
  • 11.6” 1366 x 768 IPS capacitive touch screen
  • Quad-Core Intel® AtomTM Z3735G Processor (X86, 1.8GHz)
  • 2GB DDR3L system memory; 64GB onboard storage memory
  • Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • 2.0 megapixel front and rear cameras with integrated microphone
  • microHDMI, microUSB, and microSD ports
  • Preloaded VUDU Movies and TV app; NOOK for Windows 8 app

My 9-year-old, a Miranda Sings fanatic and Girls Go Games junkie, has been putting the Nextbook Flexx 11 through its paces, and it’s stood up to her heavy use thus far. She likes having the option to use it as a laptop at the table or as a tablet when she’s sitting on the couch (and I like that she’s finally using headphones without me nagging about it, lol). The keyboard is very easy for her to remove and reattach on her own, and the larger screen size is a really nice feature when playing games.

I have no doubt that the Nextbook Flexx 11 will transition easily to becoming more of a homework tool once school starts. It’s a great choice for families with school-aged children that need a device to check email, perform Internet searches and watch YouTube videos!

This would be great to take for traveling – we wouldn’t have to lug the big laptop with us just to do some web surfing & email checking.

I would give it to my Mom! She doesn’t like the mini tablet, it’s too small for her to see, and she doesn’t like a regular laptop. So this would be perfect for her!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
