Where To Use the $3 Off Smithfield Bacon Printable Coupon

August 18, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 21 Comments

Smithfield Bacon Coupons
A number of readers shared some great suggestions for using the
$3/1 Smithfield Bacon printable that I posted yesterday. Even if you don’t use bacon regularly, this is a great opportunity to stock up and freeze it for those occasions that you need it.

  • Safeway Family Stores – starting tomorrow Smithfield Bacon will be 2/$6, so that makes it FREE after two coupons!
    (Thanks, Financially Fit Mom!)
  • Winn-Dixie is also running the same 2/$6 sale as well!
    (Thanks, Gemma!)
  • Shoppers has it priced at 2/$5, also making it FREE after two coupons!
    (Thanks, Bonnie!)
  • Kroger has their Smithfield Bacon priced at $2.99, another FREE after coupons!
    (Thanks, Mrs. Penny Pincher!)

These are the current promotions that are going on. Sandi commented that Publix often has it 2/$5, but I’m not sure what it’s priced at right now.

Food Lion is B1G1F so you can get 4 packs for $4 with 2 coupons – works out to $1 per pack.

We normally eat turkey bacon (although my girls prefer the real stuff), this will be great to stick in the freezer and have an occasional breakfast for dinner! :)

A word of warning. My local Shoppers does not take printables over $0.99. I don’t know about other Shoppers, so this deal may not work at Shoppers.

I tried this deal this morning and Safeway will NOT take the coupons. The manager came over and pulled out their IP coupon policy which says that they don’t accept IP’s for more than 50% off an item’s value.

Safeways coupon policy is that they won’t take internet printed coupons if they are more than (I think) 30% of the value of the product. So I can try this coupon there but it might not work.

Does anyone know if this is a local bacon in your area? Wondering if I can find it in Kansas…sounds like you all are from other places. We only have Dillons, Walmart, and Target here…anyone?

Hello everyone – it’s also on sale at Kmart for $3. I used two coupons and got two packages for free, no problems at all. It’s double coupon week so I used the 2 smuckers uncrustables coupons for $1 off each package (doubled to $2 – box was 2.99) and the Mott’s coupon for $1 off (doubled to $2 – 6 pack was on sale for $2). I got two packages of bacon, two boxes of uncrustables and one 6 pack of applesauce and paid just over $2 OOP.

My local Kroger doesn’t carry Smithfield bacon… neither does Walmart. I’m in Denton, TX, so maybe it’s a regional thing? Going to check Albertson’s and Brookshire’s tomorrow.

Smithfield is produced in Virgina. I’m not sure how widely it’s distributed. It may be an eastern product only.

Both Krogers in my area do not carry Smithfield bacon. Brookshire’s does, and they’re marked $2.99, but they don’t accept printable coupons or ANY coupon over $1.99. Ugh! I’ve heard Tom Thumb carries it, so I will be scouting and calling those stores when I’m nearby later this week.
