Seriously, where have these pens been all my life? If you haven’t tried Pilot FriXion Clicker Erasable Gel Pens yet, you really need to pick up a pack….
The FriXion Ball Clicker is the world’s first retractable, erasable gel ink pen. These pens write smoothly and erase cleanly — and they come in eight gorgeous, vibrant colors, including Turquoise, Purple, Green, Pink, Black, Blue, Red, and Navy.
If you’ve tried erasable ink pens in the past and been disappointed (I know I have been), you’re in for a real treat. I was curious about how the FriXion Ball Clickers can possibly erase so cleanly, so I did a little research on their site. It turns out that Pilot has developed a special thermo-sensitive gel ink formula that disappears with erasing friction — which means that you can erase and rewrite repeatedly without damaging documents!
I’ve got so many ideas for how to put these amazing pens to use! I mean, the possibilities are endless, especially for students…
- Easily write color coded to-do lists, while still being able to erase and move items around as needed.
- Color code your class notes with the ability to erase as necessary.
- Mark up your child’s schoolwork and erase your notes after they’ve corrected their mistakes.
How am I going to use these pens? Being a bit of a perfectionist, it drives me crazy when I write due dates and events in my planner and then they get rescheduled. Now I can write my notes and events freely and without worry, because I can easily erase and move things around — and my planner looks perfectly organized!
Give these amazing pens a try for yourself at a special FriXion Clicker event taking place at over 850 Walmart locations tomorrow. You can even pick up a coupon toward the purchase of a package of these pens.

Quilters have known about these pens for awhile because when you use it on fabric to mark for quilting, you can erase the ink with a hot iron.

Wow, what a great tip — my mom quilts, so I will share it with her. Thanks, Pat!

There’s an even neater, more tech-savvy way of using these pens!
You can purchase a RocketBook Wave (getrocketbook.com) for $27, with a nice, heavy stock paper, and when you’ve filled up your notebook, just microwave it, with a mug of water on the cover, and the book will be completely erased! But, wait, why would you want to do _that_, after you spent all that time filling a notebook with all kinds of information? BECAUSE, each page of the RocketBook features 7 icons at the bottom, which you link to the RocketBook app (available for FREE) in your app store, and then when you mark the icon of your choice, and view the page in your RocketBook app, the app takes a picture of your page, and then processes it according to your wishes (as designated by your choice of icon, and icon action-linking), and your page is then stored, in the cloud! NO MORE BULKY NOTEBOOKS! Man! This would have come in _SO_ handy, in college, and even more so in grad school!!! Once your Rocket Book is filled, and your pages scanned, there’s no need to keep the physical notes! Microwave it to erase the pages, and start a new book of RocketNotes. Each page is corrected, cropped, and enhanced by the app.
But, wait! I don’t want to spend $27 for the notebook, I’m a starving grad student! That’s ok! Just download and open the app from your phone/ tablet. From inside of the app, you can send yourself a blank PDF RocketBook page, by email. Print it, and you’re all set. However, my recommendation is that you buy at least one RocketBook. The quality of the heavyweight paperstock is really good, and it’s great to be able to just carry around a single, spiral-bound notebook to make all your notes/ sketches, etc in.
For the record, I have no affiliation with RocketBook, BulbHead, or any other party or company affiliated with RocketBook or Frixion pens. I found the product, and was simply amazed. I have not been compensated by any company for my opinion, and it costs me just as much to purchase a RocketBook and Frixion pens, as it does anyone else, unless I can find a coupon or discount code.
