Walmart Deals New 2/17/09

February 17, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 10 Comments

Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC

Here are the newest deals to be found at Walmart! For the full list of current deals check out the Walmart Deals page!

Keep in mind that Walmart’s prices vary by region, even by store within the same area, but generally they are reasonably close to the listed prices. Also, be aware that at times the coupons themselves may vary by region.

You may find it helpful to print out and carry a copy of the Walmart corporate coupon policy with you.

In addition to the deals below, keep an eye out for Try Me Free hangtags on Organix and Vitamin brand shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. Thanks, Terri!

Along the same lines, if you find a deal is no longer valid because the coupon has expired or reached its print limit, it’s very helpful if you let me know so I can keep it current. Thank you for putting all of this together. I find it WONDERFULLY helpful. I did, however, learn a very important lesson. You really MUST bring a copy of Wal-Mart’s policy with you. Or you could end up like me. I stood at the register today with a few of the offers posted here, a couple of my newspaper coupons and several internet coupons (plus my free Wheat Thins coupon from winning the Nabisco Superbowl contest they had done online). I was literally accused of fraud in the checkout lane. The checker had several other checkers standing there as they all scratched their heads, and the checker kept saying “these can’t be real…this free thing…can’t be real…I won’t take these…these Johnson’s buddies…they’re only 97cents…you can’t get something for free….I won’t take these. SOOO embarrassing. I was finally successful after 30 minutes at customer service, but you shouldn’t have to work that hard to redeem legitimate coupons.

So please…follow the advice….take a copy of their policy! :)

Michelle, just curious here, do you live in a big city? It seems I’ve heard of a lot more bigger/populated area stores refusing to take coupons…probably not the case all the time, but it seems to factor in.

I’m in Nebraska…top 75 market, so bigger, but not really big city, per se. I did spend 15 minutes on the phone with customer service last night and confirmed that yes, they do take coupons and no, I shouldn’t have gotten that push back. I think that they are seeing some issues with fake coupons and they are trying as a whole to minimize that. It seemed that none of the checkers knew the main coupon places online or any of the info that should be on an internet coupon–maybe the store needs to have all of the employees sit down at a computer and go find their own coupons, to help them better understand the process…I think it would help alot! :)

I’m so sorry you had that experience, Michelle. Please know that I do provide all feedback that I receive like this directly to my Walmart contacts, and it is one of my personal goals as an Elevenmom to help the fix their broken coupon system. Things move slowly in such a large corporation, but I’ll keep pushing!

I have been having trouble at my local Walmart as well! The past 2 times I have been there, the checker literally takes the item for the coupon out of the bags to verify the item was purchased. That and they read and re-read each coupon and question frees. I have complained to the manager, who swears they take coupons etc, but I have yet to see any improvements. I live in the southwest suburbs from Chicago about 45 minutes from Chicago itself.

So, I have to give a huge compliment to both Walmart’s national customer service and the local management here. I called and vented the other night, and they sent the information to the local manager here, who called the house twice yesterday and was very sincerely interested in making the situation right. Obviously my ultimate expectation is that I never have another experience like I did. The attention and concern for the matter was refreshing, though—I truly think now more than ever GREAT customer service will win out as people make choices on who to spend their money with.

Please send that good feedback along as well! :)

(FYI: I am fairly sure that Walgreens should have Kid Essentials drinks.)

And, I think I bought the Aquafresh Trial size at CVS. Good luck!
