These deals are amazing! I’m going to have so much Vaseline lotion I’m not going to know what to do with it… ;)
Where are these deals advertised? My Walgreens doesn’t put signs out for this, so it makes me nervous to try the deal. Last month I waited till last week to try the Carefree deal and it worked just fine. Just wondering…
Looks like a bit of a headache for RR planning though – I’d better put my thinking cap on tomorrow! ;)
Tara Kuczykowski
Shannon, you won’t find them listed in an ad, but usually forums like SlickDeals get wind of them before everyone else from employees.
Michelle
I got a $1 coupon for the Robitussin DM To Go in the RP this week…will that not work for this deal?
Tara Kuczykowski
Hmm, it must be a regional coupon that I wasn’t aware of. Is it valid on the 2-pack? Thanks, Michelle!
Erin
Do these deals start now, or not until October 1? I love these monthly deals because you can do them repeatedly alternating with the weekly RRs you get. I have so many carefree packs from last month!
angie
none of the vaseline coupons will print for me. anyone else having issues?
Tara Kuczykowski
Erin, these deals should start tomorrow.
Angie, I updated the coupons. Make sure to click on the link that corresponds with the browser you’re using (IE for Internet Explorer or FF for Firefox).
Michelle
Oh I guess it does say excludes 2 ct…sorry! :)

Hey, I wanted you to know that I put up a ‘grand plan’ so to speak for CVS every week…and this week, I included one for Walgreens, since it is gonna be a fab week to Wags. So, anyway, you can pass that info along to your subscribers if you wish. I am at http://www.mycouponlady.com
Thanks!
Lessie

In central FL we also got a Robitussen coupon this morning. Pleasant surprise.

In my SS, the coupon for the Halls Refresh hard candy is for $1 off (woooHOOOO!), but will it work for the sugar free?
Christine
Can someone please explain how register rewards work?
Tara Kuczykowski
This should help, Christine.

Kristie, unless it specifically excludes them, I think it should work without any issues.

The vaseline coupon is still not printing…it says the offer has expired maybe. Anyone else having trouble with it or is it just me?
Liz (Walgreens employee)
The coupon didn’t work for me either.
Liz (Walgreens employee)
I don’t know if you all already know this, but I just thought I would throw this out there…since alot of the free after RR items are “cosmetics” items I would like to ask if more people could try to ring up with their cosmetics person. Right now the Herbal essence products are our suggestive sell items, I know in my district we are doing a selling contest for these items.
Tina
Can anybody tell me what the policy is on purchasing more than one of the same item that gives RR’s. I went to our store yesterday & had 3 Oral Toothbrushs on sale to buy (1/$2.99, -2.99 RR = Free). The salesperson said they have limited the RR’s to one item per person of the same item. I guess they had a customer come in and clean out the store Sunday and bought all of the items that gave RR’s. He said his higher up management made this new policy to make it fair to other customers so there’s some left when they come in. Then, alot of my manufacture coupons would not work on some of my items that gave RR’s. This is so confusing to me. The Saturday before was my first trip with ever trying these RR purchases. The gal then said with the items I had 3 of that gave RR’s, she would have to ring them all separate in order to receive my RR reward for each item. My question is can each store make their own rules or policy when purchasing multiple RR items? Has anybody else had this happen?
T.J
Today I spent $14 OOP and left with $19 in RR. Thanks for all your time and efforts it takes to help us save all the money! Also, I called 1-800-walgreens and found out that it is Walgreens policy: that they accept both (one manufacturer coupon and one RR per item). You might have to call 1-800-walgreens to make this happen at your store. If I understood right they are also rethinking the policy regarding only allowing one RR per item.
Concerned employee
The Walgreens ad clearly states ‘Limit one per offer’. That means not one per day, or transaction. One, period.
It’s the people like you who make me look like the bad guy when I have to tell the person behind you the reason they can’t get that item is because someone bought all of them. Have any of you people worked retail a day in your life?
Concerned employee
Also, to Tina… you can only use a manf. coupon and a RR if you are paying the tax, and not exceeding the amount of the transaction. You can not receive money back on coupons. Not only will the registers not allow this, it is fraud.
T.J
Concerned employee, I never said anything about exceeding the amount, not paying taxes or especially committing fraud. I went in and bought a $5 item and had a $1 RR and a coupon for $1. The cashies told me I couldn’t use both and this happend on more then one occasion. So I called Walgreens. The RR’s are being identified as a coupon and they are not. They have a problem with a computer program which they are fixing. If you are treated badly by customers because of Walgreen’s policies, I would suggest that you call 1-800-walgreens because it is also wrong that the staff get the backlash caused by this policy and for that I’m sorry for you and the many others that work behind the counters. Walgreen’s did not have things ready before they rolled out the RR program and that is not the customer’s fault. Have a good night and I hope things get better for you soon. I told both the manager at my store and the coporate office that it’s wrong to leave their employees out to slaughter. I hope it helps!
Tina
Concerned Employee, after reading your reply to my comment, it sounds to me like other people have done the same thing as me (buy more than 1 of the same item on RR), and you, as the Employee had to lay down the law, which is what you get paid to do! We as customers are not ALL educated on how they work, and do depend on YOU giving us the correct information and/or policy. Obviously, all of your employees aren’t on the same trained level as you or I wouldn’t have gotten misinformed on how it works. On my second trip to buy the lotion RR item that was out of stock on my first trip, I was policed around the store by the Manager (because he saw me take 2 of the same lotion on RR). When I got to the register, the manager rang me up & lectured me on how you can only buy one. I felt like I was committing a crime or trying to steal something. Do you know how humiliating it is to having other customers looking at you like your stealing? And the manager telling a story of a rude customer that comes in & bought all of the RR products which left none for other customers & I was trying to do the same? To say the least I had a panic attack right there in Walgreens. And to the comment on the manufacture coupons, My coupons combined with the RR did not exceed the price of the item.
Tina
P.S. Concerned Employee, Just for the record, I have worked retail for many years. My question to you is, How do we know as customers that You haven’t taken all the RR items to purchase? Kinda like you saying, I did. How does it feel? Just like when I was paying in Cosmetics, and was pointed out by another customer the bags hidden behind the counter of the Halls cough drops probably held for the employee. Do I blame the employee for the empty space on the shelf?
Adelle
Is there any printed version of this list of RR? My Walgreens charged $7.99 for the Vaseline. I wanted to tell the cashier that it’s supposed to be $6.99 for this month, but the vaseline area has no RR tag that I can show to her (she already made a big fuss about me using printed coupons, although the store manager told her it’s ok).
Melissa
I found a $1/1 MFR coupon on the Vaseline in the CVS current beauty magazine that costs $.99 & has a total of about $25 in coupons.
Naomi
I bought a Vaseline Sheer Infusion today, and no RR printed… Are you sure this is a monthly deal? Has anyone else had this problem?
Deborah
I bought the Vaseline Sheer Infusion at a store in CA yesterday and it printed out the RR. The employee was amazed that it did because they had taken down the sign after the first week when it was in the brochure. What didn’t print was the chapstick fresh effects RR. I didn’t realize it hadn’t printed until I had bought two of them :(
(My store DOES NOT enforce the one per person rule). I had no proof that a RR should have printed out because it is not in this weeks ad. Tara, is there some way to show that should have printed?
To concerned employee : The way that I read the wording (limit one per offer) is referring to the register rewards. I interpret that to mean that only one RR will print per offer. I believe they are letting people know that if they purchase 2 or 3 of an item in one transaction, they will not receive multiple RR’s. NO WHERE does it limit the quantity that I am ABLE to purchase. Many Walgreens welcome multiple purchases and are smart enough to stock up on the items to handle the demand for them. Since they are getting the kickbacks from the MF ‘s (RR are MF Q’s) there is really no reason to limit the purchases unless they have a manager (or other buyer) who does not know how to order to meet demand — and YES I have many years retail experience and many years experience as a manager. A smart manager will not turn away sales. He or she just has to know how to properly stock up for sales. If Walgreens wanted to limit the quantities on the RR items it would be very simple. Print the allowable purchase quantity in the brochure next to the item like CVS does. I NEVER try to buy 5 if the quantity says 1. Unfortunately, the wording for the RR does not specify the purchase limit. The manager at my Walgreens stood right there while I bought multiple items. He had helped me find a lot of them and told me to come back on Saturday after they unload their truck to get the items they were out of. I go back every week and he just smiles. He is smart and a good manager! He knows that while I am there I purchase all my staples at Walgreens too. I don’t go to the grocery store for milk, bread, coffee, ice cream, etc. I use my leftover RR’s, but if I get treated like Tina did by some poorly trained manager that just has to find a rule to enforce to feel powerful, I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!!! This Walgreens initially told me that their “rule” was to only redeem one RR per transaction. When I asked for the manager and nicely explained to him that the Walgreens corporate policy is to accept one MF Q per item and that RR are MF Q’s he nicely said, OK, if it doesn’t beep you can use as many RR’s as you want. I had all my “filler” items to match up with the RR’s so I used 4 with no problem. That is a smart and good manager–uses rules as a guideline but will make the customer happy.
Tina
Today was my 3rd trip to Walgreens this week to see if out of stock RR’s were in yet. It seems I waste more money in gas then it’s really worth !
I wish our Manager in N. Ogden, Utah store would get a clue & order an abundance of these items. I’ve also been waiting for the .29 cent Peroxide to come in. The shelf has been empty all week. Fortunately, the Asst. Manager gave me a Rain Check. Looks like I’ll be back buying more RR’s while I’m back getting my Peroxide. That is if there is any on the shelf :)
Jennifer
My Wags does not restock on items that have RR…That makes me so darn mad! That’s why I no longer go there!!!
Casey
Do you think they are going to have Nov monthly register rewards?
