I read in the May All You magazine (page 22 top left hand side) that this is only for store brand products. When I went to Walgreens site it doesn’t mention anything about which products (store brand or not) that this applies to. Have you tried it yet? I’d love to share with my readers but don’t want to give misleading info.

    Thanks!!

I have not tried it because I am in an area where they don’t have it yet. I think we’d all like to hear from readers in the test cities what their experience is with the program and what they think of it. Everything I’ve read is a bit vague so we’ll just have to see how it plays out.

I read about this on another site.
It seems, when you use your WAGS card every time you buy something, they track all your purchases in detail. Then when you have spent a certain amount of money (using the actual OOPS money; e.g., you spent $2.50 after using many MQ’s etc., they add the $2.50 to your accumulate total), you get a ‘reward’. I’ve seen that when you have spent $300 dollars, you could get a $5 Amazon GC.
I don’t think this is such a good deal using a card. They will track you, like “Big Brother” is watching you; and it will take a long time to spend $300 cash, to get a measley $5 GC. Not worth it all.
I’d rather pay cash, not use a card, and not have them track me.

Also ask your Walgreens if they price match from a competitors current ad. If so Publix has a booklet out right now “Beautiful savings for Mom” which has the razors in the priced at $5.99. That would be a sweet deal with $5 in RR too!

Thanks so much for the heads up! I signed up for more info on the rewards program when it comes to Indy! However, I wonder if there will be limits on what you can get with the card? Anybody have any idea?

I just hope we have this as well as register rewards, not instead of it.

Lucy, why do you care if they track your purchases? Supermarkets do it too.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
