roots of nature is designed for african american hair but i hear it works great on other hair types too and would be a great donation item if you cannot use it.

Be sure to read the fine print on both Blue Diamond coupons. I was about to post this deal on my blog, too, but noted the WAGS coupon states it’s for 6 oz jars, and the SmartSource coupons indicate 8 oz. Make sure before using! ;) Have fun all.

Good catch, Angela. Thanks for letting me know!

I was trying to read all the comments about how I can utilize or not utilize my RR and just ended up getting confused! Could someone please help clarify the new rules? I don’t want to wait until I get to the store and then find out I am doing things wrong. Thanks soo much!
angie
lisa,
walgreens is picky in that you can only use the amount of coupons as you have items. so if you have a coupon for every item you are buying, you cannot use any register rewards. you can use a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on the same item, such as this week they have a $1.00 off starbucks drink coupon and there is an internet manufacturer coupon for $1.00 off you can use with that to get the drink for $2.00 off. only thing is you may have to buy a filler (or something you do not have a coupon for) so that you do not have more coupons than items. the only other thing is never use a register reward to buy an item from the same manufacturer or you will not get your register reward. so if you recieved a register reward from colgate a couple of weeks back, do not use it if you are purchasing another colgate item that you are supposed to receive the register reward for.

It really doesn’t seem like our Wags does things the same. All the moms that I know of in my area have completely stopped using Wags b/c of how rediculously difficult it is to get a good deal. This Wags seems to NOT give RRs for ANY item that you’ve used RRs to purchase. Plus, the “same number of coupons for the same number of items” thing seems to NOT work either. The cashier actually told me one day, when it didn’t work, that it has something to do with the value of the RRs exceeding the cost value of the products…or something like that…she said it was really complicated, and she understood the process but just couldn’t explain it. I just think we have a difficult Wags. Most of the people that work there are very rude and totally fail on the customer service thing…so, none of us bother to ask about the real rules at their store. Any suggestions?
What I would like is to see EXACTLY how someone’s transaction goes (which RR you used, how you split your transactions, how much you paid, etc.), try to do the same transaction at my store, then see if it’s just something we’re all doing wrong OR if it’s just our store. Anybody willing to help me?
angie
i do not split transactions as some do. i just use my last weeks RR for my purchases this week. i usually buy the free things and maybe a few other deals, so this week i will buy the following in one transactinon: Roots of Nature Hair Care, Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste, Iceland Health Omega-3 Fish Oil, Reach Prevent Toothbrush, Palmolive Dish Soap, and Indiana Kettlecorn. I will use the register rewards I already have omitting the Colgate ones i have as I want the Colgate one to print. look at the Catalina machine (the one that prints RR). there should be a green light on. otherwise, it is not on and not going to print anything. you could try checking out at the cosmetics counter or photo counter. i have had rude employees tell me that before about if you use a RR none will print. i just politely say, i have contacted corporate and they say they should. and trust me, they do. i do this all the time at several stores and if it doesn’t print, it is because of their equipment. when one does not print, i have even had them ring my purchase again on another register and all of a sudden it prints. just means their machine is either not on or out of paper.

I have also been having serious problems with Walgreens lately. Just recently, my Walgreens decided that you cannot use more than one coupon per purchase. PER PURCHASE. The cashier didn’t even try to ring them through, he just sat there and told me it was coupon fraud if we used more than one per purchase. Anyone else having this issue? Is this really a new policy or just a really awful cashier?
Terese
I was at walgreens yesterday and I noticed that he B1G1 kettlecorn was for a larger, 3.99 size. It is still a great deal with the coupons and all… If you haven’t tried it, the white cheddar is amazing…
Suzette
I just printed the blue diamond coupon this morning and it says on ANY BLUE DIAMOND PRODUCT. Maybe they have updated the coupon. At any rate, for those of you that have the 8 ounce coupon, they will be on sale next week at Walgreens “2/$5 Blue Diamond Oven Roasted Almonds- 8 oz reg $4.29”
Tara Kuczykowski
Thanks for letting me know, Terese.
Suzette, do you have a link for the Blue Diamond printable?
Suzette
It was on the Blue Diamond web site… https://www.bluediamond.com/index.cfm?navid=8 in the lower right corner. I printed it twice. I didn’t see if I could print more than 2.
Julianna
I wanted to get the free Reach toothbrush this week at Walgreens but can’t find a 4/16 RP coupon packet. Don’t they normally come out on Sundays? April 16 was a Thursday. Were there coupons that day? Or is it a typo on when that coupon came out?
Tara Kuczykowski
You know, Juliana, I can’t find the $1/1 coupon. That was a deal someone submitted to me, and I didn’t check the coupon (my apologies). Still a good deal with the BOGO or $1.50/2 coupons!
brandy
thanks I love these lists!

walgreens had major markdowns today. two brands of tuna for .32 a can, white chocolate flips for .65 a bag (.015 after .50 coupon), hershey’s dark chocolate bars in two flavors for .62 a bar (these have 1.00 coupon that if you get the right cashier will just push it through for a MM), lindt double milk chocolate bars for .67 each (minus 1.00/2 coupons makes them .17 each–and the best chocolate you’ve ever tasted), snickers fun size 10 pack for .37 each, reeses 10 pack fun size for .50 each, butterfinger 10 pack fun size .50 each, 1 pound 6 oz bag of reeses peanut butter mix for 1.39 (has reeses cups, reeses pieces and reeses crispy crunch bars in it), werthers creamy caramel filled hard candies .57 cents a bag (minus .55 coupon made it .02 a bag), command hooks, both metal and plastic, .90 to 1.39 (minus 2.50 printable coupon). anyone find anything i missed?
Lisa
Thank you Angie, I am going today so hope it all works out!

Stella,
If you go to Iheartwags.com you can see examples of purchases. As for the value of the RR’s the cashier is correct. You can not use your RR to pay for tax. This means that your subtotal before tax can not be lower than the RR total. For example if your total before tax is $1.99 you can not use a $2 RR. You will have to buy a filler item to bump the before tax total to $2 or more. I hope this helps.
