The cracker coupon beeped on me. They wouldn’t let me use it.

I went today to get the Colgate Max and when the cashier saw that I was holding coupons and had the toothpaste, she let the manager (who was beside her) know. There was another woman who was in the same situation as me standing next to me and the RR hadn’t printed out. The manager said that if I used a coupon they wouldn’t print. He said that the RR were given to us from Colgate and that they wouldn’t allow it. He was very nice, but wouldn’t override the situation. I said that this was something that CVS allowed regularly and I was confused (as was the other woman). I asked if this was going to be the way it was with all the RR deals. He said that he didn’t know, but it depended on the company. I asked how we were supposed to know which was which and he didn’t have an answer. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I just try another Walgreens? Thanks!

Hmm, I haven’t tried the toothpaste because we’re more than stocked on it currently. It’s never worked this way in the past, so I’m not sure if something has changed. Is anyone else having trouble with this?

Buy it and then later go back with the coupon to get the coupon value.

I went to a different Wags today to try it again. Had no problem. And actually, I got charged 3.29 for it (and then used the coupon) and got a $3.50 CAT back!

I tried to use the $2.00 off 2 coupon for Ritz crakers from 1-25-09 on the BOGO offer on ritz walgreens has for $1.99. They said I could not use it because the coupon was for $2.00 and the crackers are only $1.99. Have you heard of anyone else having this problem. I was very frustrated.

Angel Carroll´s last blog post..2 Great new deals. Must act fast!

I had the same issue as alli with the rr, but on a different item. they manager there told me i have to pay full price to get the rr and that if i used a coupon i wasn’t paying the advertised price so would not get rr . . . this was very irritating. i will have to try another walgreens i guess.

I was wondering if you know anything about a Walgreens coloring book with coupons in it. I have heard a lot about this lately but my Walgreens said they have never heard of that.

Faithweaver, I’ve heard about them, but I don’t think they have them in stock any more.

Anyone interested in the diaper deal should go back to the pharmacy counter and ask for the coupon booklet. Inside is a $2 off one pack Q which says limit 1, but takes off $2 for all of the packs that you buy. (All Walgreens Q’s do this, I guess so you won’t tear out numerous and waste their books) This Q makes each pack $2.49, a steal for diapers. I loaded up the last time they did this and was just starting to run low so the deal came at a perfect time for me. Anyone who hasn’t tried W diapers before, I love them, no leaks and I wasn’t a fan of no name diapers before I found these. I have found that the ones in the light green wrapper are the best!
