And finally, Jess from News Around the Blogs shared that she found a new free coupon for the Bayer Contour Meters in the spring issue of Diabetes and You Magazine Spanish Edition. She said it’s back near the pharmacy!

Coupon information is incorrect about the Diabetes and You magazine. The coupon actually states Get a FREE contour or breeze 2 meter from Bayer WHEN YOU PURCHASE one box of contour Test Strips 50 or 100 count or Breeze 2 10 Test Discs 50 or 100 ct. Here is a link to the english version see page 5, https://www.walgreens.com/images/pdfs/library/diabetes/spring2009.pdf

Thanks for clarifying that, Kimberly! I couldn’t read Jess’ coupon since 1) it’s not that clear and 2) it’s in Spanish, LOL. Maybe it will help someone that really needs some strips and a new meter though.

My ad has the same hairdryer listed for $19.99 and not $12.99 which would make it $9.99 after RR. Does the store have it priced at $12.99? Is this the same for everyone?

Meanandgreen, I can’t say for sure that every store will have this price, but numerous people have reported that they’ve found them at the $12.99 price. They’re marked on the shelves as a mega savings or something to that effect.

    meanandgreen,
It was marked $19.99 at my store (even on the shelf), but when I got a price check, it came up as on sale for $12.99. So if you aren’t sure, just get a price check–you just might end up with a really cheap hair dryer!

This wasn’t in my paper, but I’ve found oddly enough in the past that sometimes deals like this wont, but when I go to the store if I still buy it then it shows up and gives me the RRs. I plan on trying this because my husband blew out my blow dryer last month using it for work (go figure). If it doesnt work I can always reutrn it is how I think.

The $12.99 hair dryer is ONLY the hot pink regular style NOT the Travel version and numerous posters are reporting NOT getting a register reward for the travel style so stick with the hot pink non travel version for this deal.

My store in Michigan the hair dryers were priced at $18.99 so I had them do a price check and they were indeed $12.99 and I did get $10 in RR too. Thanks! At Walgreens today I spent $1.93 and saved $56.36. This is so fun, thanks for all of your hard work, it is much appreciated. Your website is like my bible…

I bought two blow dryers today, one for Dhs work van and one for me. There was no sale tag but it rang up 12.99 and then I got the $10. The store manager was who rang me us and said that she was told by corporate that it was a glich in the system and they were trying to fix it, although she may have meant for our area.

I went to my Walgreens (Twin Cities, MN) today and the travel Ion dryer was marked as $12.99 and they had a tag by it that said you would get $10 RR. However when I purchased it, no RRs came from the register. I asked the cashier if she would call the manager so I could figure out why I didn’t get the RRs. He came to the front and he did give me a $10 Walgreens card instead of RRs, but he took the tag down off the shelf saying you get RR’s with purchase. He said that “Revlon has nagged on the deal” (I think he meant “reneged”) and that Walgreens hasn’t been reimbursed by the Revlon company for this product deal. But he wanted me to have my $10 anyways, which is nice. I will definitely use my $10 gift card. I didn’t purchase the hair dryer for me. Mine is for Toys For Tots in Dec. They always say that hair dryers are a good gift for teen girls and they are always short on teen gifts. I am really planning ahead!
Anyways just wanted you all to know how it went down for me today. Different from other transactions that I have read on here. It sounded like the Walgreens manager was mad at the Revlon company for not reimbursing Walgreens on that deal. I never think that much about who is reimbursing who; I am just excited when I see a good deal on here and want to go and get it!

At my Walgreens, BOTH the pink Revlon I0nic hair dryer and the Revlon Ionic travel size dryers were on “mega saver” for $12.99 and they BOTH printed out the $10 RR. So I got both of them :)

the fold up hair dryer said 12.99 at my wags and there was a tag that said $10RR so i got 2 but didn’t get the RR. The manager came up and eventually rang up the pink ones for me and gave me the RR. So i don’t know if it is only the pink ones that are for the RR deal but i didn’t get those because the shelf said 19.99. i wonder if they were ringing up 12.99. Is it me or does wal greens have messed up price tags???? Seems like the tags are always wrong.

I was just getting ready to post that my WAGS ad says 19.99 for the hair dryer so I am going to try buying one and if it doesn’t ring up at $12.99 with the RR I will take it back.

The hairdryer worked perfectly. Like many others, the sign and ad said 19.99 but a price check revealed 12.99. My current blow dryer is dying so perfect timing. I had a revlon dryer before and loved it…probably lasted about 10 years. Thanks!

I went to Wags today planning on getting the blow dryer at $19.99 but when I got there I was pleasantly surprized to see that it was $12.99 ( sorry I didn’t look at you post closer, duh on my part) and there was a special sign indicating the great price and the RR’s for both the pink and the travel. I wanted the travel for travel and convience. But when I got to the register it did ring up $12.99 and I used a special $3 coupon that my “new” store had and the RR didn’t print. The cashier tried to convince me that it was because I used the $3 coupon and that brought the price down below $10 and you can’t get something for more than what you spend. Well I know that’s not true because I have spent .18 before and gotten many RR at the end. They finally just gave me $10 plus tax back instead of the RR that wouldn’t print. So I took that and bought the Bayer meter and got it for free.

i just printed out 2 of the cookie coupons and they say limit one coupon per purchase of product…i assume that means one coupon/ one item not one coupon per transaction…is that correct???

Yes, JArble. That means one per item. Coupons that are intended to be one per transaction will say one per transaction or one per customer. Good question!
