October 28, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 31 Comments

Several people have reported finding Brita water pitchers on clearance at Walgreens for $8.49. These are producing $3 in Register Rewards, and there’s also a $5/1 Brita Water Pitcher printable available making them just $0.49!

Brita Water Pitcher, $8.49 (clearance)

$5/1 Brita Water Pitcher printable
$0.49 after coupon and RRs!

Call me crazy, but I think these would be a fabulous gift for college students. I loved being able to fill mine at the water fountain and have fresh filtered water in my room for a fraction of the cost of bottled water.

Walgreens has tons of other fantastic weekly and monthly deals that you should check out when you head to the store.

(Thanks, Thrifty Mama!)

Whoa! That’s a crazy good deal. Even before the coupon and RR, $8.49 seems like a decent price. Great tip!

wow I will be going to pick one up in the morning.I hope it works in Rhode Island. Were I live the water is clean so they say. I would rather filter it. Funny I was just telling my daughter we needed to pick it up. At this price it’s crazy not to. An why not pick up a few as gifts for the people you love for the holiday?. Or as a house warming gift.

I JUST CALLED MY WALGREENS & THEY SAID THEY WHERE ALL SOLD OUT. SO I’M GOING TO CALL OTHER WALGREENS AROUND MY AREA & SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY LEFT. JUST A TIP: YOU SHOULD CALL YOUR LOCAL WALGREENS TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY LEFT BEFORE YOU MAKE THE TRIP. THEY MIGHT BE ALL OUT :)

I don’t see where it shows you can actually print off a coupon? As of now, it looks like you have to register on a web site first? How does this one work? :-)

You do have to register-complete this, then it goes to a pledge page-complete this, then you will have the option of what coupon to print out. If you hit the back button you will be able to print out 2

    Help!
I tried printing the coupons 3 times, it kept saying they couldn’t print it.
So they gave me the option to have them mailed to me.
I was worried that they wouldn’t get here in time so I xed off the box hopping to try again, only now since it will only let you register once, it won’t let me get any coupons. I never got any to start with!
there isn’t any contact us page on their cite so I can’t tell them whats wrong!
I’ve tried loggin in again and to no avial they say I’ve already taken the pledge so I can’t get the coupons!
    Curses!

My WAGS (Nor Cal) does not have these on sale or clearance. Too expensive. Wish they were consistent with pricing. :-(

Does anyone know how long the $3 Register Reward is happening? Until the end of the month or longer?

    Thanks Maria S.
I did just that and it worked.
Sadly my WAGS didn’t have any.
How could they be gone already when I learned about and called like ten min. affter the fact and they were out?
I thought I would get there first, people must’ve gotten them without the coupons.
    Oh well!

You can go to The Walgreen’s Website, do a search for Britta and click “Find in Store” It will list the stores in your area that have them. They don’t list the price though.

I went first thing and they only had one left. I found it in the isle labeled kitchen. When I got to the register it rang up full price. A manager came and said she was to have taken these off of clearance but had not yet so she went ahead and gave it to me for 8.49. Then I gave the 5.00 coupon to the register associate. This did not make the manager very happy. Oh well. The RR was still working to for 3.00 so got it for a steal!

I live in NJ, and my ShopRite grocery store has the Brita Slim Pitcher’s on sale for 9.99, so with the coupon it will be 4.99- not a bad deal.

At my Wags there were two shelf tags. One that was 21.99 for a 6(?) cups size and one for 8.49 that was 1/2 gal. Of course they only had the 21.99 ones!

Found one on clearance for $10.99 so I grabbed it. Used my printed coupon and then I got a $3 RR so it was still a great deal. I ran to several more stores trying to find another pitcher, but I had no luck. The shelf tag said the RR offer was good until 10/31 for those of you that were wondering.

Judy, it was a clearance deal, so it’s possible that not all stores have it. Some people have also mentioned that it seems like maybe Walgreens caught on and raised the price again. :(
