My Walgreens won’t take a coupon if it’s more than the item is worth. :(

Mine usually doesn’t either but sometimes a cashier will change the coupon to the price of the item.

I will be going in the morning. I can’t wait. The $5rr will just print? We don’t need a coupon? This is a good way to stock up on wipes and mac n cheese. Then turn around and get a few loeal hip b1g1. Should be a sweet deal for all the moms. I have a low coupon for loreal it’s a buck off. But it will get me $5rr when I spend $25 and will take 2 bucks. Then I use my rr from the first and they will be free. LOVING IT! lol When I tell my friends you can get free items at cvs and walgreens they think I am crazy. Hey you pay 4 them if you want to but I rather not. lol

Just FYI I tried this deal bright & early this morning & the coupon DID NOT print. The manager said the total must be $25 OOP **after** all the coupons. My total was just under $15 and it was such a HUGE pain to have to return everything I’d just bought.

    I spent $10.90 OOP & got back $9RR!!!!!

FYI on the B2S coupons…my theory is this: Any coupon you use right after the B2S coupon beeps. First time it was my Reach toothbrush coupon that had no reason to beep. The 2nd time was just the first manu huggies coupon & the third time was my freebie coupon which I purposely put right after the B2s q’s b/c they beep anyway. All in all had no problems!!!

Is there an order that I should do everything so that I still get my RR even if I do not technically spend 25.00 OOP?

Is this a nationwide deal? I have only seen it advertised in the blogs; nothing in the mail, etc.

I have some RRs saved and was going to use them to buy some Swiffer Dusters refills this week. They’re not on sale, but we need them! Now I can buy 4 refills, use my RRs, get my $5 RR, and submit my receipt for the Swiffer refills rebate! Woohoo!

I spent $15.66 out of pocket and got $14 in RRs!
I got, 2 boxes of tylenol (no RRs), 1 pantene & 1 head and shoulders ($4 RRs), 1 Fructis shampoo ($2 RRs), 1 Conair brush ($2 RRs), 1 colgate toothpaste & 1 colgate toothbrush ($1 RRs), 1 pack papermate mechanical pencils (no RRs), and $5 RRs for spending $25 before coupons!

…with $13.00 in RRs I bought, 6 boxes of huggies baby wipes, 2 bottles of Palmolive dishsoap, 1 bottle Softsoap Body wash. $2.52 Oop, received $4 in RRs for a total of $5.00 RRs left. I didn’t do so well this time as the $5 in RRs did not print out, but I figured out why. So even though I did spend $25 before coupons, I payed with the $5 RRs I got last transaction so that voids the next $5 in RRs from printing. that was my mistake. and I did not have any additional huggies coupons left so I paid $1.29 per box with the BTS $2.00 discount(perbox), which is still a great bargain as target’s low price is $2.39ea and Walmart’s is $2.59each. I am happy with my purchase though as i really did not want to spend anymore Oop. See you next week Walgreens!

    P.S. guys –
Dont’ forget to stock up on your free Cheerios cups at target with your $1.00 off target printables, and Dove deodorant. Unfortunately my target store price was $3.64, so I paid .64 each deodorant, still good deal!

    10 free cheerios cups
    2 Dove deodorants
    total – $1.28 after taxes!
Not bad for 1 day of shopping!

I got the $5 RR for $25, but I did not spend $25 OOP either. It was my first time EVER at a Walgreens, but I think I get the gist now. The only question I still have is – how would a BOGO offer be totaled toward the $25? Say the BOGO tylenol…. would it count as $4.49 towards the $25 or $8.98 since there are actually 2 of them?

I ALWAYS have trouble with those stupid candy coupons! The cashier told me he could not take them since they were more than the price of the items. I asked if he could just take of .98 instead $1 and he said he would try…. it only took off 2 coupons out of the 3 I had and I had gotten 6 snickers bars….. I don’t get it. I used .50 coupons on the .49 bubble mailers and it only took off for two of those as well. He gave me back the 3rd candy coupon that did not work, but he never mentioned nor gave back the mailer one.

In the end I found $3.50 in “errors” … like not giving him the coupon for the olives from the WAGS flyer! So, my OOP was $12.85, but should have only been $9.35 and I got $9RR back. Not that bad for my first time considering I was shopping WITH my 2 girls, one being autistic……..

Joy – you shop and learn! that’s how it’s been for me. But what i do know is that since i started I have been saving lots of money and each week i go I save more and more as i learn. The tylenol I think only applies as $4.49 because the Free one is walgreens that is taking the loss. if it was a manfacturer deal then then it would apply. like coupons, because then it’s like paying actual money but the manuf. is paying for you. I got the 2 coupons for $2.00 dollars off for tylenol and got it for .49 for both boxes so the manufact. pays $4.00 and you get $4.49 credit applied towards the $25 you need to spend at walgreens for the $5 in RRs. Hope this helps!

    Jennifer,
The Huggies wipes are not an RR deal, so you can buy as many as you want and use the B2S Walgreens coupons to get $2 off each. I’ve bought 9 so far!

Thanks Norma! I didn’t end up getting any tylenol because the 4 day insert was not advertised anywhere. The highlighters were marked .99 on the shelf, but rang up .39…. I am going to go to a different one tomorrow and see if they have any of the velveeta shells and cheese and try the tylenol BOGO there. Just want to make sure my math is right to get to $25 total! So…. would the wipes count as $1.29 towards the $25? They are $3.29 here – then $2 coupon says “manufacturer” on the back, but is really a Walgreens coupon?

Jennifer – I got 3 boxes of wipes and when he scanned the $2 coupon it took of $6 in one lump…. I gave him the 3 coupons for 50 cents first, then the $2 one. Making them .79 a box for me here in NY.

Joy – I am about 99% sure the wipes will apply at full price towards your $25, because it is a manufacturer coupon but it’s only good at walgreens. as long as you don’t pay with a $5RR you got for spending $25 dollars your $5RR should print.

Joy – I also went to my local walgreens and did not find the ad for the 4 day sale with the tylenol and the employees did not know what i was referrring to but don’t let that make you drive out of your way, all you have to do is tell them it is advertised and like for me, the employee pulled it up on their computer and printed out a copy. so even though they are not aware, the registers are already set to ring at the 4-day price special. if not you can ask them to print out the ad.

I went to another walgreens to get my 5 for 25 rr. Guess what it didn’t print last night and it didn’t print tonight. SO I guess I have to print the add and bring it in and see what they will do for me. I only went to get the Huggies wipes the Tylenol. So I am sad about that. So yeah that stinks. They were out of the tylenol I printed the coupon for.

Will the $5 RR print even if you use coupons and other RRs to bring your balance back under $25? For example, I want to buy (5) Swiffer Dusters refills at $5.49 each, use (3) $1/1 Swiffers Dusters coupons, and use (2) $4 RRs from Colgate-Palmolive. Will the $5 RR still print?
