My December coupon book has a coupon for $1 off 2 M&M’s too. I am new at this but couldn’t you stack that with the manufacturer’s coupon and make them 2 for $2? TIA

I used my Herbal Essences coupons from FB, and one that was a BOGO q expiring 11/30 (plus the store q from the ad to make each item $2.99 before q), and a Snickers as my filler, to get a HE shampoo, conditioner & styler (and the 50 cent Snickers) all for $1.19 before tax! That was a savings of $12.18!

The 35-count DenTek floss picks were free after Register Rewards in October. For those who (like me) stockpiled several of these and may not have opened them yet, there are $1 off coupons inside the packages! “Save $1 on your next purchase of DenTek Complete Clean Floss Picks 24 ct or 35 ct.” Coupon doesn’t expire until 3/2/2024.

So, if you have unopened pick packs, grab the coupons and this deal is BETTER THAN FREE!

I’m not sure if the current packages have coupons. If so, this would be a nice “daisy chain” better-than-free deal for everyone. Check your packages and let us know!

Monday I had to use my $2/2 Crystal Light coupon that was expiring so I bought four of the single packs of crystal light by the register at 2/$1 and 2 packages of the character band-aids 2/$3. The wags coupon from the children’s activity book automatically took off $3 for the 2 band-aids so my total was $0! Not even any tax. That felt pretty good but I don’t think the cashier was too impressed especially when she gave my $1RR for the band-aids.

STOCK UP SCENARIO! ROLL THOSE RRs!!

The Contact solution produces 8 RR
The hair ties, the soft & beautiful relaxer, and the acai supplement produce 11 RR (2 + 5 + 4)

Do a few transaction and roll those rewards!

    Transaction 1:
Contact Solution $7.99 OOP (+ .48 cents tax or so)
    (Get 8 RR back)

    Transaction 2:
    Acai Supplement $4.00 + use $3/1 printable Q
    Relaxer $5.00
    Hair Ties $2.00
Pay w/ 8 RR from Contact Solution, pay .42 or so cents tax OOP
    (Get 11 RR back)

    Transaction 3:
    Contact Solution $7.99, plus a 1.50 or so filler = 9.49
Pay with: 9 RR (4 RR + 5 RR), pay approx .49 OOP
    (Get 8 RR back)

    Transaction 4:
    Same as transaction 2

If you only did 4 transactions like I did, you will walk away with:

    2 Hair ties
    2 Relaxers/Texturizers
    2 Contact Solutions
    2 Acai Supplements
    Fillers

Pay approx $10.00 OOP (unless you are using past RRs)
    Get back $13 RR

or keep rolling for more fun. (if your cashier is nice like that!)

(Hope I typed that all out correctly!)

I got 2 Toblerone bars for free today – they were on sale 2/$3, and I used two $1/1 coupons from the 11/22/09 Sunday inserts (I think Smart Source?) and the $1/2 from the December coupon booklet. That means…free candy! Love it!

    Natrol Acai, $4

In case anyone is interested, there is also a $3.00 coupon inside the boxes of Natrol Acai. (ex 12-31-10)
I also found a set of Buy One, Get One Free at one of my Wags, so I got 2 for $1. ($4.00-3RR) and I got 2 more $3.00 mfg Qs.

Has anyone else had problems with the Natrol coupon? The cashier said she hasn’t had any work today (I guess I wasn’t the first…) Mine didn’t print out very clear – any suggestions?

My Natrol coupon didn’t work either so the cashier called over the manager who said just type it in. The number typed in did work but it won’t scan. I have a decent quality laser printer so I think it’s a problem with the coupon scan.

And thanks a million for the lead on the cheap cat litter! Something with seven furry ones I sure can use : )

UPDATE: The current stock of DenTek 35 count floss picks *do* contain a $1 coupon, good for your next purchase. I was at Walgreens last night & can confirm this. It’s only in the 35 packs which are in the plastic molded containers. Not the 75-90 count bag packs.

If you look carefully from the side, you should be able to see the small coupon inside the package. It’s placed near the top of the container. Use this and the deal becomes better than free on this item the second time around :-)

My WAlgreens would not let me use the manufactures M and M’s coupons along with their coupons. They told me the coupons I had did not apply to Holiday M and M’s … only regular M and M’s. I spoke to the manager and he said the same thing. Any one else have trouble?

The coupons say they’re good on any 2 M&M’s, so there’s no reason they shouldn’t have accepted them.

I was able to use the manufacters Q and Wags Q on the 2 packages of M&M’s, but then it didn’t print a $1 RR :-(

Mary– There isn’t a $1 RR on the M&Ms. It was a typo early on, and looks like it got taken off the first part of the post, but not the “1.50 ea after coupon and RR” at the end. Just the mfr Q and store Q… no RR. HTH

If you buy two items that give RR, do you have to do separate transactions or will both RR print out with one transaction?

Thanks for you help! I’m new at this, but I’m doing very well so far and looking forward to learning more!

One more question…with printable coupons, do they have to be printed in color?

    Thank you!

You can buy different items that generate RRs but not two of the same item. Coupons can be printed in black and white, but prepared for some people to give you a hard time about them because they’ll wonder if they’re photocopied.

Thanks for answering my questions. I wonder if some of the sales are local. I just got back from my Walgreens and the contact solution was listed at 9.99 and the Dentek was about $3.

    Bummer!
