Vistaprint FREE Halloween Tote Bag

October 11, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 38 Comments

Right now you can order a FREE customized Halloween canvas tote bag from Vistaprint. These are CUTE, and there are a number of designs to choose from!

Here’s how to order your FREE Halloween canvas tote bag:

  • Create your personalized Halloween canvas tote bag.
  • Checkout making sure to opt out of any offers you’re not interested in.
  • You’ll only pay about $4.40 for shipping and handling when you select the “Slow” shipping. (In my experience it always comes much faster than stated.)

These are so much nicer than the plastic pumpkins we’ve been using every year — easier to store, too!

It looks to me like there are only 36 choices for the free tote bag. None of the holiday designs are included in these.

Jilly, make sure you’re following the instructions in the post:

Click on “Get Started” under Premium Tote Bags.

Select “Holiday” from the dropdown box under “Personal & Family”.

$4.40 whether it’s for shipping, handling or a convenience fee is NOT ‘free’. Thanks anyway.

Are you adding something to the back? There shouldn’t be any additional charges as long as you create a basic tote.

I can’t seem to get a “Halloween Tote” for free, it is showing up as $12.99. The Halloween designs are not included. I followed the directions.

It shows up at 9.74 for me before shipping. I click on the “get started” from the free tote thing but then it shows them at 9.74.

The title of this post is extremely misleading. Having to pay over $4.00 in shipping does NOT make it free. :-( Perhaps a different choice of words would have been better.

Seriously?! How do you even want to waste your and our time posting your comment?
I am ordering my bag for “free” right now. The shipping is extra and since I uploaded my own picture I will spend an extra $2.49. In my mind: THANKS for posting this FREE bag deal. I really appreciate it!!

Nope, sorry. I follow instructions for a living and I’m telling you, it came up as $10.90. The website claims “free” but the bag costs over $6.00 in the end (plus S/H.) I made sure there were no other offers, shipping labels, extra printing, etc. and this was my result. :(

I am following the directions and the tote is coming up as 12.99. The Holiday designs seem to be “premium” design for more than free. I also followed the link directly from the email I received from Vistaprint and the premium tote is coming up as $6.49. Hmmmm. Will try again.

I ordered two of these and it worked perfectly. “Free” is the wording used on the site. Of course there is shipping charges!! If you don’t want to pay shipping, just don’t order it. Don’t put snarky comments up when she tells you up front that there is shipping. Thanks for the heads up, I think these are much cuter than the stuff at the big box stores, it’s personalized with my daughters’ names and you are right… it will definately store easier!! I ordered mine (I searched for “Halloween” in the box instead of going through Holiday) last Thursday and it has already shipped!! LOVE Vista Print!!

Very well said….The item is free, but of course there is shipping. These posts take a long time to put together and I can’t believe how rude people are being instead of just choosing to pass if they don’t want to pay shipping!

How do you order more than one “Free”? I got it to work for one but the next one came up in my shopping cart as $12.99. Thanks!

I just ordered one for my granddaughter and had no problem at all. Shipping isn’t that much when you consider a drive to shop for one and not be personlized would cost a lot for the gasoline.

I’ve tried and tried to get the free halloween tote, but every way that I select it still shows $12.99 as my price plus the shipping and handling. I’m not sure what is up, but Help. I’ve followed everything you said and then I’ve tried an other way, but for the free tote it looks like you have 36 choice and halloween is not one of them.

I agree w/Jenny, I tried everything to get it to be free — even registering a couple new accounts — but the “free” ones look like they’re available in only 36 designs, and none of them are Halloween designs.

just don’t do the same thing i did. when you place the order, it gives you a “10 minute only” special. a second bag for about $5.50 with no shipping. I was thinking that I could edit the text to put my other sons name on it. Now I am getting two with my oldest sons name on it and one with my youngest (two of the ‘free’ ones and one of the ‘special deal’ ones). Thank goodness I have a friend who has the same name as my son :)

the bags are free but you do pay for shipping. The post didn’t say free shipping it said free bag. this is my second free vista bag with only paying shipping and it works exactly the way the post states. You may have to change the type of art to holiday.
