Toys R Us: Possible FREE My Little Pony 3/31

March 30, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 38 Comments

My Little Pony figures are B1G1 at Toys R Us tomorrow, Wednesday 3/31, only. I’m not sure what the Toys R Us policy is on combining a B1G1 sale with a B1G1 coupon, but there’s a B1G1 My Little Pony printable coupon available which could make for possible FREE toys!

My Little Pony Figures, B1G1 (3/31 only)
B1G1 My Little Pony printable
B1G1 Select My Little Pony Pony Items, exp. 4-15 (SS 3/21/10 #2)
Possible 2 FREE or at the least B1G2 FREE after coupon!

I’m sure you’ll have to get there early to snag this deal.

Thanks, Nickles-N-Dimes!

Also, http://www.playsaver.com has $5.00 off $20.00 and if you get 2 ($20.00) and they are BOGO and you use 2 coupons you’ll get 2 ($20.00) less $10.00 in coupons= 2 items for $10.00

Could someone give me a scenario, and how many coupons I should take with me? I hate to sound dense but I just cannot wrap my head around this! I would like to get as many ponies as I can for Easter.
    Thank you

Yah, me too… How is it that b1g1 sales paired with b1g1 coupons result in free stuff? shouldn’t I have to pay something?

I used 2internet MQs for the sale last weekend on DVDs. I was able to BOGO baby einstein dvds, and use 2 $5.00 MQ for a sweet deal. I live in central FL.

    Baby video NOAH: $17.99
    Baby Video MOZART : $17.99
    Less BOGO : -$17.99
    =$17.99
Less $5.00 internet MQ on any BE dvd (used on NOAH)
Less $5.00 internet MQ on any BE dvd (used on MOZART)
    final price = $7.99 + tax = $9.07 for 2 dvds.

As for the B1G1 Little Ponies – You would have to buy 4, and have 1 B1G1 MQ coupons to get them all for the price of 1.
    Pony1+Pony2+Pony3+Pony4 = $40 ??
    ToysRUs will make you pay for 2 (P1 and P2) and get 2 free (P3 and P4). = $20
Then use a MQ for B1G1, then you pay for P1 and get P2 for free = $10 final??
If you have another MQ for dollars off of 1, or a total price, you could use that against the one you pay for – as long as the store agrees. I usually have luck with this, but you never know…..

check the BOGO MQ I think it might say “up to $6.99”. So if they are $10 each, I would like you would have to pay the 3.01 difference

I’m not sure if it will work like that. I’ve tried using BOGO coupons on a BOGO product at a different store before and they gave me the coupon back and said, “It’s already Buy One Get One Free So you can’t use the coupon. I do know the printable is up to $5 only and is for the single ponies – no accessories.

I have two TRU near my house and the one accepts printables and the other does not and when I called the customer service number online they told me they did not accept internet printables but that was in the fall.

Okay, here is how it works. A store sends in the coupon and gets back money from the manufacturer. So either they can not take the coupon and have you buy one pony and get one free, or they can take the coupon and get the value of one back from the manufacturer. Either way they are getting money for one pony, it is just whether or not they are going to require that money be from you. Coupons should be looked at like cash. I got 4 bottles of laundry deterg from wags by using bogo coupons on bogo sales. You are ‘buying’ two ponys- the store is choosing not to charge you for one of the two that you are buying, lets call the free one #2. Then you are using a bogo coupon. So technically, you are ‘buying’ #2 (it is just that the store is charging you $0) and you can get the $5.99 for free….=both for free.

If you can print two of the b1g1 free coupons, be sure to print the $5/$20 one as well. I wish I could try this deal out but our store closed a few years ago. I hope everyone is able to use those coupons.

I just tried this at my TRU and the girl wouldn’t take the coupons, she called the Manager over who told me they’d already had a few people try this and your not allowed to do it. I explained to her how the coupons work IE who pays what, and she still told me it was coupon frued. Which I know its not, oh well I tried. They wouldn’t even let me buy 3 get 2 free… But thats my TRU out here, I figure I’ll try again when I go closer to the city later today.

I went to the TRU near work and they refused to take the coupon because they said the cash register wouldn’t take the coupon. I even called the manager over and she said that it would have scanned in if using the coupon with the special was allowed. I tried to explain that I had a similiar situation over the weekend at another TRU but they still wouldn’t do it. I’ll try the TRU near my home this evening.

This worked perfectly at my TRU in Goodyear, AZ — I got 4 ponies for free using two bogo coupons. They did beep but the cashier was really nice and put them through.

I just got back from my toys-r-us in Oregon and they were sold out of the individual ones. But they had some of the Super long Hair ponys left. They are an single pony with lots of extra accessories included. They are normally $10.99 each. I bought 4, used 2 b1g1 coupons (they would only take off $6.99 per coupon) and only paid $7.98 for 4 ponys, ($1.99 per pony) Not free but they have a lot more stuff included and still and excellent deal at 82%off!!!

I just got back from my TRU in Selma, TX (San Antonio). The cashier initially said neither the BOGO coupon nor the $5 off $20 would work with their promotion. After a little encouragement, he tried it and said that still the BOGO coupon wouldn’t work, but the other one would. So, I ended up with a So Soft Pony and a Family Convertible for $10 and change. Great deal! Thanks!

Portland, OR area TRU are not taking mfr coupons for the My Little Pony deal. I tried to buy the Ferris Wheel and Convertible and they would not take the $5 coupons stating the mfr would not reimburse them because it’s a “promotion”. Apparently corporate has sent out an email, so I assume it will be like this everywhere. They took the coupons earlier (I got there about 5 minutes too late). Oh well, they lost a sale.

I had 3 coupons from the HASBRO insert in the newspaper that were BOGO up to $6.99. The only single ponies that they had at my TRU were like medium sized and came with small DVDs and were priced at $6.49 I think. I was able to use the 3 coupons to get 6 ponies for just the amount that was tax ($1.26?). I live in Kansas so we have to pay tax even if it is free. The cashier was friendly and just said “You’re getting a good price on these”. Awesome!
