Swag Bucks: Now Earn Cash Via PayPal

July 2, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 16 Comments

Search & Win

Fantastic news – now you can redeem your Swag Bucks for PayPal! Just 80 Swag Bucks will earn you a $5 cash payment sent to your Paypal account.

I recently purchased an Amazon Kindle with GCs that I earned from Swag Bucks, and now I’m planning to start banking them for Christmas shopping. What a great way to start stretching our holiday budgets!

What is Swag Bucks?

Basically it’s a site that allows you to earn great prizes such as iPhones, iPods, concert tickets, gift cards, and more just for using them to search the Internet. For example, an Amazon.com egift card is only 45 Swag Bucks!

Why not get paid for something you’re already doing anyhow? And don’t worry about the quality of the searches – Swag Bucks is powered by Google. Plus, they often offer special Swag Codes for additional points as well, so it’s not hard to rack up enough points to redeem often!

How do I sign up?

It’s super easy! Just go to Swagbucks and register. Plus, Swag Bucks is currently offering a special code that will net new members 5 points when you sign up – 3 points for registering with Swag Bucks plus an additional 2 points when you enter CASHISKING (case sensitive) in the Swag Code box.

(Note: The code is only good for new registrants and expires at midnight PST on 7/6.)

Tips for maximizing your Swag Bucks earnings:

  • Download one of the Swag Bucks browser plugins to earn for the searches you normally do.
  • Follow @SwagBucks on Twitter for updates on new Swag Codes. (enter these in the left-hand column on your Swag Bucks account page)
  • Read the Swag Bucks blog for updates on new features as well as info on Swag Codes.
  • Shop through Swag Bucks to earn SB on purchases.

For additional tips listen to the Money4Moms: Earn With Swag Bucks BTR segment that Mercedes and I did a few months ago – but be sure to register first!

This is great. Although a little steep but I’ve heard they might be bringing it down from 80 to 60 SB :)

SUCH an exciting day – no?

It’s hard though because I’m so torn about whether I want the $5 Amazon cards or the $5 paypal (45 Swagbucks versus 80…)

I’m trying to save my Swagbucks and have 301 and I too want a Kindle!! Do you love the Kindle?! :) I’ve been wanting one for a while now and am leaning more towards than than an ipod. The only thing is that it’s to take me forever to get more Swagbucks. I always get 1 per day sometimes 2 if they have a code out there somewhere but that’s it. :(

I do love my Kindle so far! It’s so much nicer to carry it around than a fat, heavy hard back book. You’re lucky – at least you can cash in on the lower price. They lowered it to $299 right after I bought it at $359, and they don’t do price adjustments anymore. :(

Oh wow! Did your purchase the Kindle using just Swagbucks or did you also put some $$ towards it? I’m thinking of putting some of the Swagbucks towards it and maybe putting cash also because otherwise oh my it will take me forever to earn with solely Swagbucks! :) With the Kindle, it would be cool also if they allowed for Internet usage! Do they have that? LOL

Yeah, I used just the Swag Bucks. It took a while, but I was determined not to pay cash for it. You connect to the Amazon Whispernet from it, and you can download books and read blogs from it. I’m not sure if you can access all sites – I’ve just mainly used it for reading so far.

Due to the recession, there are fewer opportunities for bloggers to write online for extra income today. The payment for bloggers’ post has been greatly reduced by the advertisers.
But there are many signs of recovery these days. Let’s looking forward to the rise in post payment soon.

Blogging is not easy money at all. It requires patience, relevant skills, as well as dedicated work.
I think, just as in the real life, there are no short cuts to making money in blogging as well. If you see it closely, a lot of principles that apply to other businesses apply to blogging as well.

Hello, I wonder how do I get paid via paypal. Once you hit 80 points and it will ask your paypal account? Thank you.

I do not get credit by using swagbucks at every time. It only gives me 1 credit once a while. I am so frastrated!

Does anyone get credit every time you go to swagbucks?

    ;-(

Sue, you don’t get points for just visiting the Swag Bucks site. You win them by searching using their site.
