Swag Bucks: New Features in September + FREE Swag Bucks for New Users!

September 1, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 13 Comments

Search & WinSwag Bucks is launching several new features this month to help you get even more from this fun and rewarding program, including:

  • A BRAND NEW Swag Bucks Toolbar. The new toolbar has just been released today and is compatible with IE, Firefox and Safari.   Members will be able to log into to their account and track their points through the new toolbar.

Additionally, they will release a special “Swag Code” through the toolbar every day in September!   The only way to get the code is by having the toolbar installed. By the end of the month, those that have installed the toolbar should be able to rack up 31 FREE Swag Bucks!
  • SWAGGO! Swaggo is Swagbucks.com answer to BINGO!   During the month of September, you will be sent a special SWAGGO piece whenever you order selected prizes through the Swag Store.  If you collect all the pieces in a row, you will be awarded 1000 Swag Bucks!
  • A New “Back to School” Section in the Swag Store. This section will feature everything your child may need as they get ready for the new school year.  The “Back to School” section will feature an assortment of items for all ages!

To celebrate these new features, I’ve got an exclusive code new users can use to receive 2 additional FREE Swag Bucks when they sign up (for a total of 5!).  It’s only good this week, so be sure to sign up with the code DEALSEEKER today!

What is Swag Bucks?

Basically it’s a site that allows you to earn great prizes such as iPhones, iPods, concert tickets, gift cards, and more just for using them to search the Internet. For example, an Amazon.com eGift card is only 45 Swag Bucks!

Why not get paid for something you’re already doing anyhow? And don’t worry about the quality of the searches – Swag Bucks is powered by Google. Plus, they often offer special Swag Codes for additional points as well, so it’s not hard to rack up enough points to redeem often!

How do I sign up?

It’s super easy! Just go to Swag Bucks and fill out your information. You’ll receive 3 points just for registering to get you started. Use the code above for an additional 2 Swag Bucks, and you’ll be well on your way to earning prizes!

Tips for maximizing your Swag Bucks earnings:

  • Download one of the Swag Bucks browser plugins to earn for the searches you normally do.
  • Follow @SwagBucks on Twitter for updates on new Swag Codes. (enter these in the left-hand column on your Swag Bucks account page)
  • Read the Swag Bucks blog for updates on new features as well as info on Swag Codes.
  • Shop through Swag Bucks to earn SB on purchases.

For additional tips listen to the Money4Moms: Earn With Swag Bucks BTR segment that Mercedes and I did a few months ago – but be sure to register first!

I can’t get the code to work. It keeps saying it is invalid and I am copying and pasting exactly how it is in the post.

I apologize, ladies; I misunderstood, and the code is only good for new account signups. Be sure to download the toolbar for 31 free Swag Bucks in September, though!

Downloading the Swagbucks “swidget” is another way to find out if there are any swag codes out there.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
