So…if you buy two packages of photo paper @ 9.99 each and 2 packages of pencils @ .01 each and use the $5.00 off a $20.00 purchase coupon and then mail in the rebates, you will actually be making $2.98…right?

I’m a future teacher…this could come in handy!

    Hi Coupon College Gal,

You can, and you can score some free pens too, after printing some coupons.

Staples is looking good this week!

I’m curious to know if it works that way too. Will they allow you to use the Q on the rebate items?

Yep, you should be able to do that, CollegeCouponGal!

Michelle, it’s just the copy paper and the pencils that are only valid through 7/15. The other deals will be valid through the 18th.

All the Bic coupons have reset and should work on the Wite out and the Pens for additional savings. I posted them along with a scenario for a money-maker!

If you have a teacher’s rewards card, you can bump up the limit to 25 on all of the items.

Very good deals. The photo papers have been going for ages.

Taxes will make a money-making deal into just a freebie. 8%-9% tax is almost $2 already.

I’ve never used manufacturer coupons at Staples before – do they take them as a corporate policy or is it a store by store thing?

How do you get the information on teacher cards allowing 25 limit? Is that only on the in store specials or does that include the rebates too? I have had a teacher card for a long time cause I’m a teacher too and never knew that. Thanks…

If you go to Rite Aid you can use the 2 bic pen coupons with the deal of: Buy 1 get 2 free. The price of 1 pack is 1.99 so use those coupons and get 3 free!!!

I can’t find anywhere on the Staples website if you can do multiple rebates on items that are a limit of 2. For instance, if I want two reams for home and two reams for my organization, can I buy two and my husband buy two and each of us submit the rebate? Since it was a product limit of two I didn’t know if they’d recognize two rebate requests coming in from the same address.

I’m not really sure, Heather. I think it’s probably two per address, but I’m sure you could verify it with customer service.

Great deals! I’ve never shopped at Staples before – there’s none close to me. But I’ll be scouting one out and making the trek! I also highlighted this deal on my blog along with a $3.46 MM scenario I put together based on the prices, coupons, and rebates. Sweetness.

This is in response to Dianne’s comment— you can get 15-25 items with your teacher reward card. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and sometimes the limits change based on quantity on hand. Just show your teacher reward card and you qualify to purchase more of the one cent items. Hope this helps.

Staples is SO GOOD to their teachers. I went last year to the penny day(s) (yes there will likely be more in the coming weeks!) and they encouraged me to take even more than 25 & split it into multiple purchases. It was totally their idea – the cashier/manager told me to just bring up as many as I could fit in the cart & he’d just split them up. I ended up with 800 something pencils after this. My class will still be using them this year – wonderful for my low-income school where the kids sadly don’t even have a pencil at home to do their homework with.

Just a little heads up when printing the BIC coupons…
Only one coupon prints per page, along with a detailed description below. So, just in case you think like I did and choose 3 different coupons to maximize one sheet of paper, don’t, the coupons print out individually. I sure hope the coupons work at the Staples here in Houston. I barely go to office supply stores once a year so I have no idea what to expect when I present the internet printable coupons. “crossing my fingers”

To answer the question about rebate limits. Yes – you are only allowed 2 per household. It did seem to good to be true. I called customer service and asked the manager at the store. Stock up on pencils using your 25 teacher limit but only buy two reams of paper.

I went to Staples today and they did not accept the BIC white out coupon. They said that they do not accept any coupons unless they are from Staples :[ So I’m going to go try to use the coupons some place else.
