Soulful Giveaway: Win Seal’s Latest CD Soul

December 17, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

seal_soul_albumThe hustle and bustle of the holiday season has really been taking its toll lately.

As you can imagine, I don’t get a whole lot of “me” time as a mom of five, so I’ve learned to work in short bursts of relaxation when I can throughout the day to prevent myself from being overwhelmed by everything.

One of my favorite methods for relaxation lately is just taking a few minutes to listen to Seal’s latest CD, Soul. I close my eyes and just become one with the music, and after about 15 minutes I’ve regained most of my sanity and am ready to tackle life head on again.

Soul features eleven classic soul songs, and I truly feel like there’s something here for everyone. If you’d like to hear a taste, just check out the widget in my sidebar!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a copy of Soul so he or she can kick back and relax a little, and as an added bonus, you’ll receive these great little Lego iPod speakers from Delight.com.
(I’m so jealous of these – I think they’re just adorable!)

Delight features eco-friendly tote bags, gadgets for guys, kitchen gear that is smart and saves time, travel essentials, one-of-a-kind baby gifts, stocking stuffers for holiday gift shopping and unique jewelry and décor accessories with most under $50.

So tell me how do you unwind after a rough day? Can you tell when you haven’t been taking enough time for yourself? How have your learned to make time? I know I struggle with this, so I would assume a lot of you do as well, and I’m looking forward to you sharing your tips.

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. Share your tips on how to unwind and relax when you’ve had a difficult day.

2. Add Deal Seeking Mom to your blogroll or add my badge to your sidebar. I’ve got some surprises in store during the month of January for readers that help me spread the word about Deal Seeking Mom!  Get a head start by adding my site to your blogroll or my badge to your sidebar now.  Make sure to come back and leave the link to your site in a separate comment!

Prize:

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, December 19th.  I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment.  The winner will be posted on Saturday, December 20th. Good luck!

My husband works out of town during the week, so sometimes I have to wait a few hours, but once the kids are in bed, it’s MY time! I love to curl up on the couch with the computer and just surf aimlessly and catch up on my blogs.

I never seem to have time for myself — but on those days that I manage to get some time for myself, I love to take a long hot shower. Pamper myself — deep conditioning treatment, facial, etc. Then I sit down with my favorite book or look through my new magazines and try to get some reading.

I’m really not good with taking time for myself, especially since I breastfeed. I try to get my mom to go shopping with me once or twice a month and make hubby watch the kids, that’s about all I can get away for…

My husband keeps the kids in the family room downstairs while I hit the bubble bath upstairs with a drink and a book. Half an hour and I’m back to normal. ;-D

My favorite way to unwind after a long, hard day is to run a hot bath, light my favorite incense and candles, pour a glass of Alize, and play soft jazz in the background as I rest my head on a cushy bath pillow!

What a wonderful giveaway prize drawing. I had heard of Seal as a singer and as the husband of Heidi Klum. His voice is remarkable! Rewinding for me comes in the form of yoga, reading the Bible, a hot bubble bath
and /or sitting on our front porch and just taking in the view. Thanks for the chance to win the CD and adorable speakers. Cindi
