First of all thank you for your newsletter. Today, I decided to enter the sweepstakes posted in your newsletter.
Win an amazing Week in Italy with three of your friends to Villas at Monteverdi in Tuscany and $300 credit for airfare per person. It was a website for a Redbook magazine. The site stated that “no purchase necessary to enter sweepstakes.” As soon as I completed and submitted my personal data, a “Thank you for subscribing to Redbook magazine” screen came on. There was even no price to the subscription or for how long. I immediately tried to cancel the subscription to no avail. I was so frustrated with this deceptive marketing practice. When I got to my email, there was an email stating the subscription rate for the Redbook subscription, however you cannot reply to it. I would like to warn all your subscribers to your newsletter about this. The company was Hearst Magazine. I also found on the web that this company has multiple complaints of there deceptive practices.
