Saturday Sweeps + $100 Gift Card Giveaway From Lifetime’s Army Wives

April 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

This week’s Saturday Sweeps is brought to you by Lifetime’s Army Wives.

Army Wives follows the struggles, dreams and friendships of a diverse group of women – and one man – living with their spouses and families on an active army post. The series films in Charleston, South Carolina and stars Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brigid Brannagh, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller, Terry Serpico, Katelyn Pippy and Catherine Bell.

The brand new season of Army Wives starts Sunday, April 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. To kick off Season 4, Lifetime is giving away a $100 gift card to retailers of their choice to one lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader!

To enter, watch the Season 4 trailer and leave a comment telling me if you’ll be following along or not to find out the outcome of last season’s cliffhanging gunshot.

Come back each Saturday, and I’ll share my favorite sweepstakes for the week. I’d love to hear about a DSM reader winning big!

  • Purex is giving away a $20,000 Green Home Makeover. Enter daily for a chance to win the $1,000 daily cash prize. Ends 4/30.
  • Do you scrapbook your family’s memories? Enter Scrapbook Etc.’s Spring Fling Sweepstakes for a chance to win Tamron’s 18-200mm lens, an eCraft Electronic Cutting Systems by Craftwell, an Original Scrapbox and more. Ends 4/30.
  • Harper Collins wants to give you a chance to get some rest in their Relax & Recharge Spa Getaway sweepstakes. Grand prize is a trip to Lake Austin Spa and Resort in Austin, Texas with spa treatments and a chance to meet New York Times bestselling author Wendy Corsi Staub.
  • NASCAR fans should get involved this year and enter the Streak to the Finish Contest by choosing a driver each week from the Top 10. The player with the longest winning streak wins a trip for two to the 2010 NASCAR Year-End Awards Banquet in Las Vegas.
  • Enter Good Housekeeping’s Daily April Giveaways for a chance to win one of several $100 shopping sprees to various retailers.
  • It’s back again! Enter HomeFurnishings.com’s Inspired Living Begins Here Sweepstakes for a chance to win $5,000! Enter your zip code to locate a retailer’s page and then sign up from the sweepstakes on that page. Enter daily through 9/30.

See the previous Saturday Sweeps for more chances to win!

Prize:

(1) $100 gift card, as described above

This giveaway ends at 8:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, 4/17 and is open to all U.S. residents 18 years or older. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Winners must respond within 48 hours of notification to claim their prize. Good luck!

I will definitely be watching. I finally rented season 1 from Netflix since I did not start watching until season 2. The trailer makes it look like their is more relationship turmoil which keeps me on the edge of my seat! I can’t wait!

Yes I am following the series and have been since the beginning. I and waiting to see what the result was for the final scene with jeremy, I do not think they will kill him off that would have it ending like another season did and I don;t think it will happen that way.

My husband and I have been following the show since it’s beginning. We are prior military and have an active duty son who has been to Iraq twice. While some of it may not be accurate – some of it is and the show has good story lines. Military life is far from easy – especially deployment times. Thank God for each and everyone vet and active duty person who has served!

I watched the show when it first started but didn’t really have a chance to get into it last season. I will probably watch tomorrow night though since it is a new season. I am a USMC wife and like others have said, it isn’t necessarily what military life is like but I do enjoy the story lines and just remember that is a tv show and not real life!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
