Rite Aid: Gift of Savings Event

November 29, 2010 by Corrie @ Centsable Momma 7 Comments

The Gift of Savings Event is back at Rite Aid!

When you shop at Rite Aid between now and 12/25, you can earn up to a $20 Rite Aid gift certificate.

  • Spend $25-$50 – Get $5 back
  • Spend $51-$100 – Get $10 back
  • Spend $100 or more – Get $20 back

To get your gift certificate, simply enter all your receipts online (like you do for the monthly SCRs) or mail in the rebate form.

Please note: this year Rite Aid is calculating the qualifying rebate spend amount AFTER all coupons and +UP Rewards.

Just wanted to let everyone know that this year they will calculate your total spending AFTER all coupons and UP rewards, not before. Last year it was easy to spend the upper limit and yet not spend much money, but this year it may not be worth it to try to get the reward. Just FYI!:)

I just found out the same thing Jenn. After coupons and payment using Up+ Rewards, my $97.98 worth of purchases came up as 16 cents towards the Gift of Savings! At this rate, I won’t even reach the lowest gift card level.

Shame. I’m betting they will not be getting much extra business for this GOS. The people who primarily take the time to enter receipts and get the rewards are people who also do coupons. I’d wager a large percentage of Wellness+ and SCR users are coupon people and they took away our incentive to go after the GOS rewards.

I was about to post the same thing guys!!! It said I only spent .48 cents . . .I thought I was at least over $25 (like I was last year)! Guess I won’t be going for the $20 gift card!

I had a good chuckled when I looked for an update on the GOS. After entering all my tickets, total of 58 items and negative 1.52 total. Now how do they figure the negative, LOL I may end up owing them a certificate.
Oh well…I will keep using my coupons and they can keep the cert.

I heard the bad news from other couponers today, I was joking that a person who doesn’t even shop at rite aid is closer to the g.cert. Than some of us who shop there 3x a week with this whole ” in the negative” business….. The news def. Put a sour note to my day….. Oh well thanks but no thanks rite aid… Sigh

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
