I wanted to give a heads up to folks who might be a doe-doe brain like me. I didn’t fully understand the Redbox “how to rent” rules so what I was doing was going to their website and reserving my movie before I went to the kiosk to pick it up. Once at the kiosk I would push the “rent with promo code” option, enter the code, pick the movie, swipe my card, and go about my business. Well … I got my credit card statement and saw some $1.08 charges for the days I knew I had used a free rental code. So I called Redbox and they said that essentially I had rented the same movie twice – once by reserving it ahead of time online and again at the kiosk using the free rental code. D-U-H on me! They were nice and gave me credit for the charges but I wanted to share in case someone else might be doing this.
