Mint.com: FREE Online Money Management Tool

May 11, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 6 Comments

Since we’re already talking about spring cleaning our finances today, I thought it would be a good time to mention one of my favorite FREE money management tools, Mint.com.

Mint helps you do more with your money. Track your finances in real time, get alerts when you exceed budgeted amounts, and pinpoint ways to save more, all in one easy to use interface. And did I mention it’s FREE?!? Plus Mint offers apps that will allow you to track your finances on the go.

I’d love to hear from readers that also use this fantastic money management tool! What are your thoughts?

I LOVE using Mint.com. We have used it for over a year now and it is great having an online source for budgeting that does not require me to enter in transactions. Love that it also emails me and my husband when we get low on cash or go over budget on something.

Mint.com is the absolute best way to manage your spending habits and accounts. I’ve used it for almost a year now and couldn’t be happier. I was so surprised to see how much money I was spending on useless things. Plus it pulls the information right from your accounts, so you don’t have to keep track of every last purchase in a budget of your own. It helps you to set your own budget and tells you when you’ve exceeded that amount. I could not recommend this service more than I already do. It’s a wonderful tool

Oh, how I’d love to use this. However, Mint cannot yet access my local bank (a credit union). I’ve been checking for the past two years, but they still haven’t added it. :(

My hubby uses this like CRAZY! He is always checking and updating it…but he’s a big financial nerd as it is! :) Guess we’re a perfect match!

I like ManageYourExpenses.com . It is very simple to use and it is FREE!. It has good features like budgeting, bill reminders and also feature for sharing expenses between roommates/friends.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
