Menards: Quaker State Motor Oil $0.48

July 20, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 9 Comments

Quaker State Motor Oil for $0.48Thanks to Lori from Moms By Heart for sharing how we can get 5 bottles of Quaker State Motor Oil at Menards for just $0.48 a quart!

She notes that you’ll need two receipts to take advantage of both rebates, so make sure to ask for a second printout.

I’m not that familiar with Menards’ rebate process, so if you’ve done them before, please share your tips in the comments!

Quaker State Motor Oil Quart, $1.98
$0.50/1 Menards Mail-In Rebate (see Page 12 – limit 12)
$5/5 Quaker State Mail-In Rebate, exp. 9-7-09 (RP 7/12/09)
$0.48 ea. after both rebates!

Awesome. I saw the $5 of 5 MIR rebate but missed the Menards rebate. Have to check with my husband if it is useful… I get funny looks some of the stuff I pick-up at Menards ;)

No problems with receipts either. Menards rebates are soooo easy. If you make a qualifying purchase they print a little rebate receipt at the bottom which you send in with their rebate form. They look kind of like CVS ECBs. Is is fantastic, because then you still have your original receipt if you need it for other returns, etc.

My paper didn’t have any coupons in Sunday. Is there a way I can still get the rebate form?

Be careful with Menards rebates. Most of the time in the fine print it states that your rebate will be in the form of a merchandise credit to their store. That works great if you’re a frequent shopper of Menards but if you’re only buying their product because of price and don’t shop there otherwise, you’re stuck with a credit to their store that you may never use. This is the only store I’ve heard of treating rebates in this way.

Yes, the rebates are to Menards in the form of a merchandise credit. More like an ECB or RR, only takes longer to get! They are a store rebate rather than a manufacturer one as the rebate comes from Menards.

There are usually some good FAR items to use the credits for too.

I’m a former Menards employee, so I’m pretty versed in the rebate process there. :) You can pick up rebate forms in the store or you can print them off of their website. They have the rebate forms up by the checkouts so you can grab the forms after you check out. As long as the PO box is the same (which they typically are) for the rebates you can put more than one in an envelope. They do occasionally have Manuf. rebates, but most are Menard rebates. You get in-store credit and you can keep rolling it over on your purchases. I have seen people come in with gobs of the certificates. You are supposed to buy $10 of non-rebated merchandise in order to get FAR items, but as of 1 year ago there was nothing in their computer system that caused the rebate receipts to not print out if you did not meet this requirement. If there is a rebate receipt on your receipt, then you are free to send it in! :) They do provide a website for you to track your rebate status on. It’s right on the rebate forms.
