July 18, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 9 Comments

Don’t toss your Parade or USA Weekend today without first checking to see if yours includes a coupon for a FREE Real Fruit Smoothie or Frappe from McDonald’s! I found my coupon on Page 13 of USA Weekend.

Expires 8/15/10.

(Thanks, The Coupon Girl!)

I’ve heard that some stores are not accepting the $1 off coupon I posted earlier this week, but I don’t think they can refuse this promotion that they put in major newspapers across the U.S.

I haven’t had a chance of trying to use the coupon again. Had been refused. I think the next time I will go into McDonalds and see what happens. Will let you all know. I also don’t understand refusal of this because the promotion is everywhere, although last nght I saw the promotion of only frappe and not the fruit smoothe..

I found mine in the Parade section in the Chicago Trib.
They canceled the free sample Fridays – not this coupon.

I had read (on “Nickels-n-Dimes” forum blog (awesome site!) that they had cancelled an offer to try 5 oz of these free 7/22-7/24, at least in our area. This was a no cpn 3 day promo.
However, this was diff than the cpn. I also have a hard time believing they would turn these cpns they put in paper down.
Then again, I wouldn’t have guessed any store would refuse the $1. cpn! I wonder if it was a store privately owned? Still should take, but…

I was able to use the $1 off coupon, will check our Parade to see if there is a coupon there, Thanks Much! They are Fabulous!
I did find out that the privately owned McDonalds seem to have HIGHER prices on them :(
    Have a good day!

I had used the $1 coupon yesterday in Las Vegas no problem. I got 2 free coupons 1 from Parade and 1 from USA Weekend today on Sunday paper. Cannot wait to have the Frappe. They are good!

i tried three different stores in michigan and each one of them told me they were not participating, and would not except my 1.00 off printable coupon from their email, so i took my kids to burger king, they could have had more than the dollar and got nothing,,,,,,,,,their loss, why give us a coupon to try something and then not let us use it, i was very upset and so were the kids

Uhgh, I hate people that get upity about this stuff, oh they didn’t take my coupon, if you look usually says at participating locations, most locations do, but these resteraunts are franchises, all have different owners who have to pay the million + franchising fee, plus with wage laws increase, tax increase, and economic slump its understandable for owners to choose not to participate in promotions that obviously probably cost quite a bit of overhead
