Kroger has Hasbro Card Games on sale buy one get one free this week. If you live in a market that receives the USA Weekend insert, you should have a B1G1 Hasbro Card Games coupon on Page 3. Pair the coupon and the sale, and you’ve got yourself two FREE card games — great stocking stuffers!
Hasbro Card Games, B1G1
B1G1 Hasbro Card Games, exp. 11-30-09 (USA Weekend 11/15/09)
2 FREE after coupon!
Choose from: Scrabble Slam, Rook, Monopoly Deal, Littlest Pet Shop Go Fish, or Pictureka.
Thanks, Coupon Cravings!
Update: Note that some readers are reporting that their stores ring B1G1 sales as 50% off each item. If this is the case at your store, you may end up paying $2.50 for both games which is still a great deal at 75% off the retail price!

Those are great gifts, and thanks to you, very affordable!

Check your Kroger–most bogo sales ring up at half price, so it wouldn’t make these free.

Just a word of caution this maybe a ymmv issue. I know the Kroger is used to frequent (zip code 60914) will not honor this coupon to receive 2 free games. It will be read as that you must purchase at least one of the games. Which 3 games for the price of one is still a good price imo. The coupon usage at this particular store has caused me to lessen my shopping trips as there were remarks made continuously when checking out about customers receiving free items and clearing shelves. Considering I didn’t do either and always ended spending up to $100 per shopping trip (this used to be my fav store to shop) I did not accept the way I was treated, when I came in either with my binder or my envelope. After contacting corp to inquire about their coupon policy and the reply I rec’d stated it ultimately was at the discretion of the store manager, I no longer give Kroger mine or my families business.

My Kroger ad states Board games. I don’t know if I want to waste my time checking it out. I guess it is possible that the card games are only advertised in stores. Do some area ads state card games BOGO? I am interested in know. Thanks.
Teresa
So if I B1G1 free and then use the coupon, they’ll both be free? I’m confused. Help!
Stephanie
I agree with Erin. My Kroger rings up B1G1 items as 1/2 price each. I think that you could get 2 for the cost of 1/2 of one item, but not both free. This would make this deal 75% off of both items.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I’ll make a note in the post that it may vary by store. I have not had the opportunity to try it personally yet.

If the ad says Buy One Get One Free, take your items to customer service and have them ring it up. Explain that the ad is B1G1 and you have a B1G1 coupon from the manuf. I did this on some other items and they adjusted the pricing so I got both items “free to me” with Kroger paying for one and the manuf. paying for the other.

MichelleK, I have had nearly identical experiences at my Kroger (zip 46819)… A cashier told me “I’m going to get fired for allowing you to steal items from the store like this. You are dishonest and horrible.” Why??? Because they had items for $1.50 and they triple up to fifty cents so I was getting some free items! They have a two identical coupon limit so it’s not like I was cleaning the place out for goodness sake! I almost never shop there anymore, even though the next closest grocery store is a 20 minute drive. It’s not worth the treatment even for a few freebies.
Anyway, my Kroger rings up BOGO free items as half off. this works out well most of the time b/c you can use two coupons, whereas at my Meijer, the second item rings up 0.00 and they don’t let you use two coupons.

Chelle and MichelleK, same here. I really really try not to go to Kroger anymore unless I absolutely cannot pass up a deal (like the mega sale)! Their customer service is really terrible and corporate is even worse. If it’s up to the discretion of the store manager, then why do they even have corporate?! They suck.

I got two card games for FREE! I believe this is definitely worth checking out. It’s not a hassle at all. I like to use the self-check lanes when I have doubts about a coupon working. I usually have success there as opposed to the regular lanes.
The board games and card games are all B1G1 at Dayton area stores.
Thanks for the info on this one! I’m so excited that I was able to get two free Christmas presents!!! :D
Leanne
I was able to get both for free at my Kroger! I’ve never had problems with coupons before and everyone has always been really friendly!

I just looked at my local Kroger store’s online ad (47374) and the Hasbro cards/games aren’t showing up in it. Does Kroger have a different ad in different parts of the US?

The regular $5 off Pictureka printable coupon works for these card games.. I used them a few weeks ago to get these cards for .24 Cents each, after the $5 coupon. I did this at Walmart.. 2 sets for under .50 Cents.. not bad =)
amy
where is the printable coupon located?

i work at a kroger store and the card games ARE on sale BOGO. however, I know at my store, that coupon would not work. you are only paying for ONE card game. you are not going to get 2 games for free. i’m sure some managers would allow it (if only to keep your business) but technically, we cannot do that.
Heidi
I didn’t work for me tonight – the cashier wasn’t sure that she could allow me to use the coupon. When she called the manager over, she explained that I would have to buy at least one for them to take it. Then proceeded to say that if I would buy another set of two, that it would be buy one, get three free. However, when I went back to grab the additional two (4 total) she rang it up as buy 2, get two. Why would I even need to use the coupon then??? So I had her take the last two off. She was very friendly, but the cashier and the manager confused me royally. I just wanted to know if the coupon would work with the sale…

It seems to me like the most logical way to have done it would be to buy one get two free, because then you’d be getting one from the sale and one with the coupon.
Jennifer
Does anyone know how long the sale is going on. I’m going to TX on Fri. and would try it if the sale is still going on.

I tried this at the nearest Kroger (43147), and it did not work. I too had to deal with an unfriendly cashier (not the first time and I’ve only lived here a month), so I will now avoid that store. Sounded like a great deal, and I would have been happy to have even gotten them at 75% off.
