Kroger Deals Week of 3/7/10

March 8, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 10 Comments

Kroger Weekly Deals

Kroger deals and matchups are provided by Renae, who blogs at Madame Deals, where she teaches others how to make dollars out of change. She also provides store deals, recipes, money saving tips, ideas on stockpiling and family activities.

New to couponing? Read up on what all of these abbreviations mean first in my quick reference guide.

Read more about Kroger’s corporate coupon policy to make the most of these deals!

Because Kroger coupon policies vary across different regions, you should verify your local store’s policy on doubling coupons. All matchups include double coupons up to $0.50, and we’ve noted where the final price will be lower for stores that double up to $0.99.

Here are five of my favorite deals for this week. Click to continue for a full matchup of all deals at Kroger!

Is there anyway you can check online to see if your store doubles coupons? I’ve used .50 cent coupons before and they never double.

Vikki, some coupons won’t double, I can’t remember if they are the ones that start with 5 or 9.
I didn’t realize that cell fire coupons and my paper coupons could both be used. I just always thought if I had a paper coupon, the cellfire wouldn’t take, but today, I got .55 cents off for Reese’s puffs and .55 from my paper coupon, and .40 cents cellfire and .50 paper coupon for Fiber one 90 calorie bars, which made them .84 cents once my paper one doubled.

Alot of these deals they are talking about that doubles the coupon when you print the coupon it says right on it DO NOT DOUBLE .. so it shouldnt get you excited for these deals if there are coupons that say do not double..

It doesn’t matter if the coupon says do not double. It will double automatically as long as it starts with a 5, and only in very rare instances will a cashier override this. The store picks up the doubled portion, so it’s not really up to the manufacturer to direct that.

I had no idea… I’m a little nervous to give it a try. I usually only shop at Kroger when I have .50 or less coupons [my store doubles up to .50] and something is on sale…. I would hate to cancel a transaction because the coupon didnt double… maybe i’ll try a small transaction with a few of the ones that say DO Not Double first and see how it goes… i dont have the best of luck and I wouldnt be surprised if it didnt work like that for me. haha.

I used the Betty Crocker potato coupon yesterday at my Kroger and it did not double. They used to double all the coupons that were 50 cents or less but now on the ones that say do not double they don’t. I live in Ohio.
