Kmart: Super Double Coupons Week of 8/16/09

August 16, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 28 Comments

Kmart Super Double CouponsKmart is doing super double coupons again this week! A number of stores are participating, but you may not be able to tell by the weekly ad, so you might want to call your local store to verify.

Stores in the Columbus, Ohio area are participating as per the weekly ad in today’s Columbus Dispatch.

Terms and conditions:

  • Manufacturer Coupons up to $2
  • Does not include Kmart Store Coupons
  • Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons
  • Does not include copies of manufacturer coupons
  • You may only purchase 4 of the same item using double coupons
  • Limit 10 total coupons per customer per day
  • Must spend at least $25 in grocery or drugstore items before coupons
  • Doubled up to current retail price of a single item

Tips for organizing your shopping trip:

  • Leave the kids at home so you’re not distracted.
  • Keep your transaction small. Plan to buy all of the items you have coupons for together.
  • Compile a running list of the prices as you’re shopping.
  • Watch carefully as coupons are scanned to make sure they’re doubled/tripled correctly.
  • Check your receipt when you get to your car. Any adjustments can be made much more easily now than later.

Use this $5 off $50 Kmart purchase coupon (PDF) to save even more! I’d hand this one over first to get the most out of your savings.

Sites contributing to my faves:

  • Common Sense With Money
  • Big printable list from Coupon Clippin’ Mama and Living Within The Limits
  • My Frugal Adventures

The Kmart in Grove City is allowing you to use as many coupons as you want and you don’t have to spend $25.00 to use your coupons. They are taking computer coupons too. There is also a coupon book where that ads are that give you a $2.00 coupon for secret deod. and a $1.00 for the soft and fluffy fabric softner. After the coupon the deod. is free and the fabric softmer is .50 cents. I made two trips over and spent $28.00 total and got over $200.00 free. It also printed a $3.00 off next purchase the first trip and $5.00 my second trip. If your Kmart is giving you any problems its worth the trip to drive to the Grove City, OH 43123 store.

Oops, that was a typo. There are $2/1 coupons available too, but I think they may have been regional.

Has anyone successfully used the IP Ponds coupons on the 15 count? Since they say 30ct I hesitate to try it unless we know for sure the registers are accepting them.

I used the Ponds on the 15 count, they only had one but it went through without issues. Has anybody been able to find the Pampers Wipes Flushables? If so where in the store, mine only has Kandoos and even then they are in the clarence section.

My Kmart sucks! Everything is so expensive there, there was no A1 sauce, ponds was 5.99 – better at target. anyway,to top it off they only double up to $2.00 – which means that any $2.00 cpn is only discounted face value anything under is doubled. I went to get some diapers and was disappointed when my coupons were not doubled. The upside to this was I returned the items that were not doubled, 2 packs of diapers and toilet cleaning gels. got my money back and in the end I got, 6pack of viva papertowels, 2 jars grape jelly, 1 skintamate shave gel, and 1 pack of juicy juice boxes (8 count), for $9.00 even. I did case the aisles and found no other items worth buying.
Irene, could you please tell me what you bought that got you these great discounts? thanks.

Norma, $2 coupons should be doubled. If your store didn’t double them, it sounds like they are misinterpreting the policy.

I wish I would have seen this thread BEFORE I went to Kmart this evening. I went to the Kmart off of Bethel here in Columbus, OH. I didn’t try to break their “rules” and spent the $25 plus kept my coupons less than 10. Not sure really if it would be worth it to go all the way to grove city….what if I did and then they said I had to spend more or use fewer coupons….I’d be embarrassed.

Thanks Tara. I feel that it was deceptive as well, as they had a “notice” someone printed up and taped only at the customer service/return counter for peeved off people (like me) to see. it was an hour totally wasted.

Beth – My kmart actually had signs printed around the store (that looked more professional – not just off some computer) that said “We now accepted printed coupons.” I don’t know if this is a corporate change, or local – but it seems like a new change. Maybe call corporate and see? Maybe you can get a copy of the store policy that states this…hope this helps!

I love it when they double the coupons. You save lots of money.

j svare: I’m not sure where in MN you live, but I know they are doubling coupons in Alexandria.

Also, I live in Fargo, ND, and our store is not requiring the $25 total before coupons. I walked up with 3 things totaling only $10.50 today.

I’ve been there three times this week and will probably go back tomorrow!

Our local Kmart in Pell city Alabama was not participating in the double coupons. Too bad, I had lots of coupons to use for purchases.

I had an issue unrelated to the double coupons, I was trying to use the Transformers BOGO coupons and was told that Kmart corporate policy was that NO BOGO coupons could be used. I came home and called Kmart corporate and was told that was incorrect, got a call from the store manager the next morning and went back that afternoon and got my BOGOs! I did make sure to tell them that none of the employees were rude as well, I hate calling corporate offices if I don’t have to, but I REALLY wanted these to start my Christmas shopping for the boys on my list! Thanks for ALL the yummy deals you give us all the time!

I could not wait for Sunday to get here for the big coupon sale at kmart. only to get up and find out that it was not in my area. so I called the kmart at 1-866-562-7848 . and talked to someone about the sale. I was told that I needed to talk to the manager at my local kmart that it was up to them. so I did that . I was also told the more people that call that # and call or go by and talk to the manager at kmarts in the area they shop in. the more stores that would do it. PLEASE HELP !!!!

Destiny, the coupons are from a variety of sources, and you can use any coupons you have. I just suggested some good match-ups. If the coupon is linked, you can print it online. The other coupons are generally from the Sunday newspaper inserts.

You can find a comprehensive list of the couponing terms used in my quick reference guide. It can easily be found in the future by clicking on the Coupons tab at the top of each page.

Has anyone had issues with the KMart on Bethel Road not correctly honoring their sale prices? I recently had a bad experience with them that is still not resolved and their powers-that-be seem to not care. Does anyone know the name and contact information for the regional mgr for that store?
