My local readers will be thrilled to hear that there’s a HUGE list of stores participating in Ohio. But even better than that, a select number of stores are participating in TRIPLE coupons up to $0.75 and DOUBLE coupons up to $4!!! Holy cow – that is just mind boggling!

I am really new to this and very confused. They are doubling coupons the week of 4/19-4/25 up to $2.00. Does that mean they double a $2.00-$4.00 or just that the doubled amount can not exceed $2.00? Also is the double coupon event next week the same as the one in may? Thanks

Below is the response that I received from customer service at K-Mart regarding their coupon policy for the double event (FYI I reside in Western PA).
Thank you for contacting Kmart regarding the Kmart Double Coupon Event.
We appreciate your interest in this promotion.
Following are the restrictions:
Amount of credit from doubling or tripling a coupon cannot exceed the
current retail price of a single item. Internet coupons will not be
accepted. No cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any
amount exceeding the retail price of the item. Limit 1 coupon for each
item purchased. Only 1 coupon will be doubled or tripled per item. You
may only purchase 4 of the same item using double or triple coupons.
Buy One, Get One offers, Kmart Savings coupons, Kmart Pharmacy and Kmart
Store coupons are excluded from this promotion. Coupons do not apply to
sales tax. Limit 25 coupons per customer per day. Copies of
manufacturer instant coupons are not valid. Offer excludes products
prohibited by law, including but not limited to alcohol, tobacco, and
prescription medication. Not valid on non-merchandise, federal or state
regulated items, prior purchases, Lands’ End, Sears merchandise rung on
Sears registers within Kmart and Kmart.com. In the event of a return,
coupon savings may be deducted from the refund.

Sorry, ladies, I misread Cherry Picker’s post. Yes, the next event is 4/19. The next event after that will be 5/3. I apologize for the confusion! However, it does make the distinction in the email that she received that a select number of stores are doubling amounts up to $4.

Thanks so much for the heads up, and I am checking on participating Kmarts in New England. Unfortunately for us, the Kmarts are just terrible in New England, and not alot of stores participate in the double coupons. In my travels around the country, I’ve found the Kmarts in the south and midwest are very good so we New Englanders are kind of jealous!

I called kmarts customer service and they can instantly tell you if your kmart is participating. Sacramento locations will be participating on the April 19-25 coupon doubling!!!

I e-mailed customer service regarding Charleston, SC and found out that:
“The current Double Coupon event is being held at select K-mart stores from 04/19/09 – 04/25/09. Only the North Charleston Super K-mart (8571 Rivers Avenue) will be participating in this event.” Hope that helps!

I called yesterday regarding Alabama stores and they said they “hadn’t made up their minds yet”. They said they’d know by Friday or Saturday. I’ll let you know. Alabama hasnt’ participated since November and I just don’t think it’ll be happening again here soon. THis is part of the response I received for VA:
The current Double Coupon event is being held at select K-mart stores from 04/19/09 – 04/25/09. The only participating stores in Virginia are located in Tabb (5007 Victory Blvd) and Virginia Beach (550 First Colonial Rd). These stores will double coupons up to $2.00 with a 25 coupon limit per person per day.
